Sunday, November 20, 2011  |  1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Speakers: Linda Meyerriecks
Event Type: Photography
Skill Level: Basic, Intermediate
From your digital camera to the web, printed page, or your portfolio, Picture Editing, or Picture Selection, is the final step to showing your photography at its best. Not only do you need to select your own images, but you also need to know what professional picture editors are looking for. Linda Meyerriecks has been editing images for almost 40 years, primarily with the National Geographic Society. As the Founder of PhotoShepherd.com, she continues offering her editing expertise to publishers and photographers around the world.

During this presentation, you will learn what a typical picture editor’s day is like, and how picture editing has changed over the years. You will also see how editing is determined by the product, whether it is for books, magazines, websites, or shows. With the imagery of top pros in the field, Linda will discuss why she chose the specific images for the projects.

This seminar is for anyone who wants to improve their photography. With better editing, you will see how you can take your photography to the next level. Photo courtesy Michael Melford
