A self-taught photographer, Mel DiGiacomo first picked up a camera in 1968, in his words, by accident. Eventually he left his job at CBS News to become a freelance photographer. In addition to his corporate, advertising and wedding clients, Mel has worked for Time, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, People, Paris Match, Tennis Week, Stern and the New York Times, and is represented in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
