Join Don Peebles of Apple and Jem Schofield of theC47.com for an in depth workshop on shooting techniques, editing workflows and distribution options when working with HD DSLR cameras like the Canon 5DMKII & 7D along with Final Cut Studio.

The event will include live demos of lighting, audio and shooting techniques with HD DSLR cameras. Post topics will include demos of transcoding with Compressor, syncing double-system sound  and editing in Final Cut Pro. Distribution topics will cover web, mobile & DVD delivery using Final Cut Studio.

Don Peebles

As a Senior Systems Engineer for Apple Inc. Don Peebles focuses on the award winning suite of Apple's Professional Applications for Film & Video, Photography and Audio and how they can radically benefit the working pro. With a background in Feature Film Editorial on such productions as A Beautiful Mind & Sony's Shadow Magic he strives to bring real world perspective to understanding the wide range of new tools and technologies now available from Apple.

Jem Schofield

Jem Schofield is the founder of theC47, an online and offline resource for production based training, information and services. He is a producer, author and educator who teaches production and post-production at workshops, trade shows and special events. He is also the co-founder and director of The Filmmaker's Intensive, an annual two week program that focuses on narrative filmmaking.

Jem's company, Buttons Productions, produces projects for an ever expanding client base. Clients include Apple, Inc., The New York Times, Canon U.S.A. Inc., Vision Research, Abel Cine and Blue Note Records.

He is an Apple Mentor Trainer and co-author of the Apple Pro Training Series book entitled Motion 4 Quick-Reference Guide. He is also the co-author of the Apple Pro Training Series book entitled Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Studio 2 and a contributing author of the Apple Pro Training Series book: DVD Studio Pro 4, 2nd Edition.
