Comments about VariZoom VZM7 Monitor Deluxe Kit with Sunhood/Screen Protector:

Purchased this as a director's monitor for my DJI Inspire. Small form factor, great battery life and built in sun shade all pluses. The case it comes with is flimsy and cheap, but it does the job in a pinch. I'll probably upgrade to a Pelican at some point.
The first one In received from B&H would not power because of a faulty battery adapter. The case was a mess too. But B&H, true to form, exchanged it with absolutely no muss, no fuss.
The image quality is great for a monitor this price, and if you're just using it for composition(not color rendition), you'll be fine. Although the color rendition isn't bad.

      Great Monitor

Comments about VariZoom VZM7 Monitor Deluxe Kit with Sunhood/Screen Protector:

The 7 inch VariZoom monitor is great. However, I wish I had ordered the 5 inch monitor. It is just too big for my camera. I know it is too late to exchange it for the 5 inch monitor, because I already hooked it up and used it for about an hour. I don't want to cause a problem with the order and returning it for the 5 inch monitor. I just ordered the wrong size monitor. Thanks, Steve

Comments about VariZoom VZM7 Monitor Deluxe Kit with Sunhood/Screen Protector:

This particular monitor I used for a moment on my sony FS 700 and I must say for the price of the monitor, it does well. Crisp image, great price and alright features. On the downside, its made of plastic, doesn't have many features, and no zoom option.

Comments about VariZoom VZM7 Monitor Deluxe Kit with Sunhood/Screen Protector:

I use this monitor on my Sony AX2000 for shooting events. The 7" monitor is much easier on the eyes than the 3" on the camera! Connects easily enough to the HDMI output on the camera and can be connected to the top shoe with the included adapter or with an arm (using a Pearstone 8") to the tripod (Manfrotto 502).

Only complaints are the color is off from my on camera monitor (shows a warmer red than the actual) and the battery supplied with the camera has a much shorter runtime than my Sony battery of the same size. I usually run with it plugged it to AC power (via the supplied adapter). But for the price, it is a good monitor.
