Like everyone else, it seems as if you are always trying to fit one more lens or piece of equipment into your bag. I have a great LowPro bag that has served me well as my general carry bag. It enabled me to carry my Canon 7D MK II with my 70-200 F/2.8 IS II either attached, or not, along with a EFS 10-22 F3.5. I recently was able to add a 35 F1/2 to that mix (but just barely).

This new Manfrotto Pro 50 will now even give me the ability to carry a second 7D & several lenses without resorting to my larger backpack style bag. The Pro 50 is probably too big for everyday use, but it does fit the gap between the other 2 options.

I mentioned price, I don't know how long that price will be available, but to me, it was too good to pass up. Oh, & delivery. I ordered it just around midnight, & it arrived in about 36 hours!

B& H did it again; great price, great product; & great delivery! & no, I don't work for B&H in any way!

for such large bag, i'd expect reinforcements in places where it's needed to carry the weight is can. For example, the side panels where the shoulder strap are located are rather thin and bend inward with weight, and the shoulder strap seems like an after-thought with plastic hooks. The front pouch provides sturdy protection and is useful, and the internal space management is useful, clean and innovative although limited. It is a good deal at these prices ($80ish after rebates) for casual use, but I wonder if it would become frustrating with frequent use. I ended up returning it, spent additional money instead on a Tenba Roadie II HDSLR.

Comments about Manfrotto Pro Shoulder Bag 50:

I've been collecting film cameras and needed a new bag to store my equipment at home with no expectations that I would travel with it. I keep a yashica mat 124g, nikon FE2, and various lenses and tripods in it. It's taller than I need because I don't have any giant zooms. I bought it on sale, but wouldn't recommend it at the regular price.

The Manfrotto Bag is impressive, but much TOO BIG and bulky.
A Back Pack would have been more appropriate.

Comments about Manfrotto Pro Shoulder Bag 50:

This bag well fits my 2 Canon 6D cameras and my Sony RX 10 II it does have plenty of space for other items batteries memory card holders and an iPad or small laptop very convient. Was supplied by the rain cover very nice inclusion no real specialized storage location though. My only true niggles with this are carry handles these seem weak and feel flimsy have a feeling the shoulder strap may be sewn to the bag soon to give it better strength and the carry handle fells way to weak. Other than that this took me from 3 bags to one bag making my trips to a gig easier and less hectic. Oh forgot to mention besides the hooks for the shoulder strap it's very comfortable and nicely padded. Thinking of getting a second as a backup.

Comments about Manfrotto Pro Shoulder Bag 50:

I lugged this bag all over Kentucky over the past weekend and while it's kind of boxy and cumbersome, my 5'3 self was able to tote it around just fine even though it probably nearly weighted half as much as me--I attribute that to the very comfortable shoulder strap and extra handle!

I had room for two DSLRs, a 70-200 f2.8 lens, two additional lenses, battery chargers, spare batteries, cleaning tools, a large roll of gaffers tape, and tons of personal items.

It's clear that a lot of thought went into this bag and the fact it's highly customizable is appealing.

The best feature is the price--how can you beat that?

Comments about Manfrotto Pro Shoulder Bag 50:

I added a second DSLR to my collection and needed a bag that I could keep two DSLRs with attached zooms together in one bag and still have room for auxiliary lens, flash, and misc gear. This bag is huge and holds everything. Once full though, it is a bit heavy to carry around but as long as you are aware of what your equipment weighs, it shouldn't be a problem. It seems durable and should hold up a long time. Sure beats lugging around multiple bags.

I'll be using this bag as a sort of "extras" bag, i.e., for tape, extension cords, power strips, batteries... any extra, smaller gear that doesn't fit elsewhere. It's a nice bag, and seems to be made of good, sturdy material. The only downside I have about it is the size. It seems awkwardly tall. I'm not sure what other people use this bag for, but the dividers inside don't even reach to the top, so you just have this big, empty space at the top 1/3 of the bag. But for the price, it was the best option I found for what I needed a bag for, so I'm happy.

I was looking for a large shoulder bag mostly for transporting gear to shoots. You can fit a lot of gear in these bags. It's a bit bulky so using it as a bag to shoot out of may not be suitable for everyone.

There's nothing about this bag that's not to like. However, it is LARGE, and not a bag one will want to carry while trying to shoot, or be inconspicuous. Like other Manfrotto items the bag is beautifully made, and would be a good choice for home storage of many bodies, and/or lenses. If that's your need, this is your bag, and at a ridiculously low price.

This is an outstanding bag with a lot of room and function. This bag doesn't limit your carry abilities like many bags do because of predefined storage spaces. I love this bag because it offers me the ability to use it the way I want to. I bought both the 40 and the 50 size bags and am very pleased.

Pretty nice upgrade for me. The bag has plenty of space to hold my gear in the main compartment.
My only problem with it is the 2nd section is not ideal to hold things outside of the sleeves.

for such large bag, i'd expect reinforcements in places where it's needed to carry the weight is can.

The bags is big and also has lots of storage room. I have 5D Mark III with 24-70 lens attached and a 7D with grip & 70-200 lens, EOS M, additional 4 or 5 lenses and 2 flash lights. It's very heavy once you pack everything but it's there whenever you need it.
The only thing I would compliant is the zipper doesn't zip smoothly. Otherwise, it's a great investment when you shoot with 2 bodies.

I have been looking for a large bag like this for a long time. I can use my canon 5d with 70-200mm 2.8 lens and my 7d with a 110-400mm lens attached and not have to keep changing lenses. this bag will hold everything. the bag comes with nice dividers and is very deep so you can stack one piece of equipment on top of the other with nice padding between them. I appreciate the well padded shoulder strap too. I found it to be very well constructed, typical of manfrotto products.

Very organized, lots of room, and well constructed. The only reservation is I'd like to see the top cover have better padding and protection. If the bag must be checked I'm afraid impact from the top could cause damage. Will supplement with a layer of bubble wrap.
