Better Beamer for the pop-up flash

Imagine a well lite scene at 35 to 50 feet using the built in pop-up flash. The Rogue Safari Booster will easily accomplish just that!

Though it won't give you equivalent results to an external flash of say an SB400/EX320 or higher, it does a great job for what its worth. It does extend range of the internal flash and if you're overall curious about what an improvement it can make to your internal flash, then I would certainly get it but if you're debating on getting a flash of the aforementioned models described above, then this can either make a last minute backup if the external flash dies on or you can do without it.

Again only for cameras with a popup flash. The fit is quite tight and may need a "breaking into" to properly fit but when it's in, it's in and taking it out can be somewhat of a fight as well. I would get a tripod plate in case you want to connect other hotshoe accessories as you won't have access to that once this thing is on.

Also although meant to extend distance, a feature external flash can also accurately fill color, this is more on the Yellow side of color so do adjust white balance accordingly or be prepared for more post shot editing.

Comments about ExpoImaging Rogue Safari DSLR Pop-Up Flash Booster:

The pop-up flash is good for 6 to 8 feet. What happens when you have more distance and need a flash? Use the Rogue Flash Booster. It actually worked for me at 50' and gave the results I needed. A friend broke his slide-in accessory flash and I loaned him my flash booster until his flash was fixed. It worked very well and solved a temporary problem.

Great for extending the range of you on board flash. Works with lenses over 100 mm, but it works.I use it with my telephoto, and it works. Having an external flash is not always feasible. But this little guy makes up for it.
Sometimes it is not convenient top carry around, because if the shape, but if you out it on your camera and leave it there, it works.

The is a great flash booster to have in your bag when and if needed...especially if your main flash batteries die :) The only catch is it cast an oval light ring around the subject.. I learn to step back/zoom out and to crop within the oval... :)

I didn't expect much of this product. For $, you get what you pay for. Great idea though. To not have to carry an additional flash with batteries or charger would be nice. Seriously, the mount was cheap plastic, and did not fit comfortably on the shoe attachment. I had to muscle it to get it in and out. The booster gives a spotlight effect rather than an even flash fill. Used it indoors with my Canon 7D.

This pop-up flash booster is worth every penny I paid for it. Using my Canon 70D and the pop-up flash and booster I can take photos of bird photos at 25 feet with my Tamron 150-600 lens set at 600 mm. The flash booster is very light and takes up little space in my camera bag. The light output is greater than using a Canon 430EX II at 25 feet.

I bought this based on a recommendation from a professional photographer. It is great for a fill flash. It is light weight and works with the existing flash located on the camera.

I did shoot a pic with the booster on---and I did like the results. However it did not fit the hot shoe correctly (did not slide completely on). Therefore I had to return it. It did not fit my Canons -30D--50D--and 7D.
