Comments about Sony A-Mount to E-Mount Lens Adapter (Black):

It seems well constructed, and it does exactly what I ask it to, which is to adapt my A mount lenses to the Sony a7. The only thing keeping it from getting full marks is that it is rather pricey.

Comments about Sony A-Mount to E-Mount Lens Adapter (Black):

I have the LA-EA2 Trancelucent Mirror version of this adapter and I wanted to have an alternative to use my Alpha lenses without the loss of light. Unfortunately the AF is totally useless with this adapter and Sigma lenses. I tried the Sigma 150mm f2.8 and the 18-250mm. The Sony SAL1650 worked, although the AF performance was very slow. I hoped the A6000 would use its' hybrid af system with this adapter but I was wrong. The AF performance is poor on both nex-7 and A6000.

Comments about Sony A-Mount to E-Mount Lens Adapter (Black):

Wanted to use a few of my A-mount lenses on A7 and so I got this [$] unit. Even though it seems to be made of plastic, it is quite well made and fit my camera with no hesitation. Tried it with four different lenses from Sigma, Tamron and 2 Sony lenses. All of them fit very well. None auto focussed with the exception of a SAM lens from Sony. Auto-focussing is a tad bit slow, but I am a manual focus person and so AF is not required for me but is welcome. The unit also has a metal tripod mount underneath it. It cannot be removed as one can in some of the metabones adapters. An useful adapter for anyone wishing to use A-mount lenses on full-frame E mount camera. It ought to work on all the NEX cameras as well.

Comments about Sony A-Mount to E-Mount Lens Adapter (Black):

Being able to use my old a-mount lenses on the new Sony a7 is great. And the best part about this adapter is that it retains the aperture control, and even focus control for lenses with built-in motors.
The finish is great on this compared to the LA-EA1. It's got a nice rough texture and it just looks very classy.
My only grip is that the tripod mount is a permanent fixture on this adapter. The LA-EA1 lets you take the tripod mount off, so you're just left with a circular adapter which can help with feel and looks.

Comments about Sony A-Mount to E-Mount Lens Adapter (Black):

I got a new camera for myself....the Sony Nex 7 to do my own thing...I shoot a lot of macro and landscapes. In addition, I wanted to be able to share the "Joy" of a higher pixal camera occationally with my husband who shoots wildlife and is the "long lens" part in our photo partnership. We already had lenses from our Sony a33. The A-Mount to E-Mount Lens Adapter by Sony is the answer to our "marriage" of cameras and equipment. Great investment for using lenses we already own.

Comments about Sony A-Mount to E-Mount Lens Adapter (Black):

Sony is such an oddball company. On the one hand, they can pump out something like the A7 and mark it so that it is incredibly competitive. Then they come out with accessories for it that would bring the price of the system as a whole a bit higher then most would like. This adapter is a good example of that. There is no doubt in my mind that the mark up for this is incredibly high. I should have gone after market but lesson learned. On the plus side, it's durable, well built, easy to use, small, lightweight, and reliable.

Comments about Sony A-Mount to E-Mount Lens Adapter (Black):

Firstly, everyone who purchases Sony a7 or a7r should consider to buy this adapter (or LA-EA4)eventually becasue so far as, Sony hasn't provided sufficient amount of FE lens. Therefore, users need to buy LA-EA adpater in order to use Sony Alpha mount DSLR lens with A7/A7r.

Besides, LA-EA3 or LA-EA4 are not that expensive compared to buy Sony DSLT A99. LA-EA3 or LA-EA4 enable user to use Sony Alpha lenses just like A99 with reasonable price.

I selected LA-EA3 rather LA-EA4 because I normally take video clips rather photograph, so Autofocus doesn't matter. Top priority is light weight and low-profile to get mobility.

This is essential gear for someone who are very serious photographer or enthusiast.
