Comments about CyberLink PowerDirector 12 Ultimate Suite (Windows):

I have been using Corel VideoStudio Pro X7 for the past few months, and made the switch to Cyberlink PowerDirector 12 Suite because of the ColorDirector and AudioDirector software. I use this for all my Video, and Time Lapse works for DVD video, YouTube, and Vimeo. This is one powerful program. It has a lot of tools for advanced level editing. Much more than the basic offerings. And, it has a lot of templates and title effects, way more than Corel video Studio. Also, a lot of options for rendering video with great video quality results. And, it renders 1080HD fast, and 720HD even faster. The ColorDirector 2 is great, easy to get great results, with precision sliders similar to Adobe Lightroom 5. Also, the sound quality of DVD video and online formats sound really good. Better than what I could get from other video editing software. With that said, this software is more for the advanced editor. Although it has the fast and simple editing tool for beginners, it is made for more technical users. And, you should have some technical knowledge about GPUs, and how your PC operates. Reason is, some who use i7 with higher power NVIDIA GPUs like the GTX680 or higher experienced problems of slow performance. Check online for the solutions to how people resolve their issues. For me, I had no issues using a i5 3470 CPU with a GTX 650ti. The system with this software runs fast and precise.Nevertheless, the ColorDirector portion of this Suite, requires a Intel i7 CPU to run efficiently. I have gotten by with using the i5 CPU, but at a cost. That is, slow processing and rendering video clips, or portions of video clips, that have been edited a lot. This pushes the i5 CPU to 70-98% power with slow results. In addition, any video clip with a lot of editing done to it will take longer to render, than a clip with little or zero editing on itThis is a great solid editing software with pro results. The massive amount of tools and templates which to use, opens up the opportunity for unlimited creative video projects. And it can whip out a super fast clip quickly and easily if needed. This software is great for people who want to edit and create a look and style to their videos. And for those who are willing to study and invest the time to learn how to use these tools. If you have a background in Digital Audio editing & recording like me, or have experience using other video editing software, PowerDirector will be easy to adapt to. For the money, this suite has a lot of tools. Just make sure your PC can handle the processing.

Comments about CyberLink PowerDirector 12 Ultimate Suite (Windows):

Just consider this: Should you have a pre sale question, or for some reason you have installation problems, good luck you are on your own, this company hides behind their thick walls.
Communicating directly with their customers over the phone apperantly is Beneath them.
In addition, Their ticket message support system is slow and complicated to submit, and getting an answer may takes 4-5 days.

Comments about CyberLink PowerDirector 12 Ultimate Suite (Windows):

It's a great editing suite. I was undecided between this program and another at more than double the price. The Power Director 12 does everything for much less, can edit up to 4 cameras and at 1080P. Great deal from a good comapany.

      Easy editing

      By Baden

Comments about CyberLink PowerDirector 12 Ultimate Suite (Windows):

I am not really good at editing. Obviously if you shoot events with DSLR which I believe it is a new trend now as I gives you true HD video. But it is not as easy as it sounds as you have to deal with something more critical after the shoot. EDITING. This is where it makes your fame. I have tried a hit demo version of cyberllink power director and Adobe Premier. I found the power director much easier than the adobe. Although many claim Adobe is more professional which is true, the pore director still does the job and easy and reasonable price. It has all the functions Adobe has and easy to manipulate with same result and good price. What else do you want?
