Comments about Lowepro Pro Roller x100 AW:

first of all, I love Lowepro; it is a great value and extremely well made!.

Many of options are available with the velcro separators. The pockets are great for filters and SD cards.

It is very sturdy and great for flying-- the extra pocket for a laptop-- is also a sturdy part of the roller.

The fact that it also has a reserve pack to use as a backpack? means this is my primary camera bag from now on!

cannot say enough about this product!

Comments about Lowepro Pro Roller x100 AW:

This Roller is a major step back of it's predecessor. Mine is half a year old, and the elastics neoprene front part has already holes, as it less strong than nylon, and typically tears up much easier than heavy fabrics. To clarify, part of the front is heavy duty nylon, part is neoprene, which by the way looks bad too.Worst of all, they constructed the rear part of the backpacker new, and moved the center of gravity forward to the front side. This makes the the Roller front heavy and it you have a larger notebook in the front pouch it flips over on the front. This means either you hold the trolley handle all the time or you find yourself elevate the roller over and over again form the ground where it lays on the front sind like a bug with the feet up.I a traveling for my living, This is not the way to build such gear. Thumbs down. One more thing...CAUTION! The Roller has a Zipper on it's backside. This is the side it lays on when you open the top. The zipper will damage the surface of your floor. There are severe scratches on my wood floor caused by the zipper. Lowepro should be held responsible for that kind of damage

Great Bag for My Micro 4/3 Travel Needs

Comments about Lowepro Pro Roller x100 AW:

I use a micro 4/3 set up and if I need to travel with all my gear, this is the bag I use. I am able to carry my Olympus EP-5 and Olympus OMD EM-1 as well as the Olympus 12-40mm Pro Lens, Olympus 17mm, Olympus 25mm, Olympus 45mm, Olympus 75mm, my RODE Video Mic as well as a bunch of other accessories (filters, batteries, power cords, etc). It is solidly built, all weather and I like the fact that it is a bag within a bag. It doesn't turn into the greatest backpack, but it gets the job done in a pinch. I think its worth saying that the MaxFit divider system makes setting up this bag much quicker and way less frustrating. I usually curse those velcro dividers.

That being said, there are two gripes I have with this bag, but they are minor in my opinion.

            1) I can fit my 15" MacBook Pro in the front sleeve, but its a tight fit and it makes the bag front heavy. It tipped over twice at the airport. I solved this issue by putting my laptop in my backpack (where I used to carry it anyway).

            2) The zippered compartments on the outside and inside of the bag don't hold much. To get the most out of them, store flat items like filters, step up rings, lens caps, etc.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Roller x100 AW:

I absolutely love this bag. It's very durable and you can throw it easily in an overhead compartment without the fear of destroying your gear. I also love the backpack option but it gets VERY heavy to carry on your back once all of the equipment is in there. But I did find that I could carry the backpack and then put all of my clothes into the other compartment and wheel that around. It's very efficient and definitely a great piece of equipment, especially for those that travel with gear or like to move around in airports quickly like myself.
