Comments about Ilford Pan F Plus Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 100' Roll):

I love Delta 400, because I always want more speed, but when the sun is shining this film is unbeatable. It's just SO CLEAN. I develop it myself and when I pull this out of the tank it looks like little portals into other worlds, the negatives are just so crystal clean, it has the same effect as looking at slides.

Yeah it needs light, and I don't think it pushes or pulls as well as Delta 400 or HP5 or whatever, but this is just perfect for when you have the light and want the absolute best quality you can get from your gear.

I semi-stand develop it in Adonol, 1:125 for an hour, and it never fails to deliver.

I can buy this film at any number of big Photography supply outlets, but buying it from B & H saves me money because their prices are excellent, spend over $ it is free shipping, and I don't pay sales tax. It is a Win, Win, Win, deal for me.

Full tonal range in D76..excellent high contrast and still has tight grain when used with dektol diluted 1:5. B&H had the price beat even on amazon by about $9 a roll factoring in shipping etc

Comments about Ilford Pan F Plus Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 100' Roll):

I shot this film at 25 ASA and developed it using Rodinal 1/00 solution for 15 min. The results was amazing in terms of grain, tonality, contrast, and sharpness. The only drawback was when I tried to use a red filter for a bit of sky drama. It really does not work at all. It has to be used with UV filter at best. I wish it had more red sensitivity, but you can not have it all.

Comments about Ilford Pan F Plus Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 100' Roll):

How do you really review film, objectively? I'm not sure it's possible. Different photographers have different film needs. Pan F excels at being sharp, and having a very distinct contrast. Some photographers prefer to start with flat film, and build up contrast in printing or Photoshop. I understand this viewpoint, and tend to agree. Still, there's just nothing quite like the look of Pan F, and it works really well for a great number of subjects. And buying it in 100' rolls is an economical way to shoot it. My all time favorite film stock.

Great low grain high contrast film . It can sometimes be a challenge with the low ISO , but the results are worth it . Replaces Kodak's tech pan in my opinion .

Comments about Ilford Pan F Plus Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 100' Roll):

I shoot this film all the time. The things I like about it are virtually no grain and it makes excellent scans. You do need to watch your highlights though as they can 'get away from you' if you are not careful. I think most online reviews of PanF, that are negative, come from the lack of knowledge on how to shoot/process this film. 5 stars of 5 stars... Great product!!!
