Simple but effective.

Comments about Impact Posing Table and Stool Kit:

Great little set if your looking for something that is temporary. The table it self came damaged, but didn't have time to return it. Large dent in the front of the table and it was missing some hardware.

Comments about Impact Posing Table and Stool Kit:

They are used in my small studio - I am not a pro, but have fun with friends and family. The stool is fine and seems sturdy. The table was a little bit disappointing, hence the three-star rating. The provided screws, which attach the plate to the back of the table surface nearly came through the top. There are noticeable bulges on the table top - I backed off the screws a little bit, but there is a discernible bump remaining. I fully expect them to break through at some time in the future. The two other provided screws were too long for attaching the center section on the back and my husband had to root around to find some replacement screws to do the job.

Comments about Impact Posing Table and Stool Kit:

although the table was missing a screw(which I picked up at Lowes) everything else was fine. They were very easy to assemble and work great. I didn't report the screw missing because picking one up was quick and cheap!

Comments about Impact Posing Table and Stool Kit:

Arrived in two boxes... mostly assembled already. Did have to remove the plate under the table top to install the base, but hardly a big deal. Very useful in portraiture. Often place a reflector on the table to provide fill light. Table also useful in some tabletop photography.

Comments about Impact Posing Table and Stool Kit:

I bought these in January 2016 and most of the issues reported in past years have been addressed.

The stool couldn't be easier to put together. It came mostly assembled, just need to put the lift on the base and the cushion on the lift. Done. Seems quite sturdy, and there's no odor.

The table now has a large plate on the bottom that is attached by four 1/4 x 1/2" screws to metal fixtures sunk into the wood. The center post attaches to the plate by a large bolt and two anti-twist screws. Transport and storage can be done by removing the 4 screws. You could replace these with thumbscrews to make it even easier.

There is some minor flex and twist, but this is an inherent issue with having a single center post that can be conveniently raised and lowered. I have no problem with it, but if you do, you'd need to use a 4 legged table instead.

Stool is ok, table is awful

Comments about Impact Posing Table and Stool Kit:

The stool works fine. It spins perhaps a bit too easy, so that someone who sits on it quickly might fall off, but otherwise I can't complain about it.

The table, on the other hand, is a total piece of junk. The attachment from the plate on the top surface to the column is two small screws, which work loose and then get stripped very quickly. Adjusting them requires removing the plate--which is, ironically, attached to the top surface far better than the plate is attached to the column. The vertical adjustment lock is hard to turn, and you have to put some weight on the bottom and yank hard on the top to raise it up.

And don't even think of having someone lean on the table anywhere but in the center. The top will tear clean off, destroying the two weak screws that hold it in place in the process.

Buy the stool separately if you're looking for a deal, and then buy a more sturdy table.

Comments about Impact Posing Table and Stool Kit:

Use it for portrait posing. Easy to install. Posing stool is good, and easy to use. Posing table is not easy to use (hard to adjust height). Construction seems strong. Sometimes, the parts do not fit (esp for the posing table), but BH will readily get a replacement.

[...] I've owned the posing stool and table for well over a year, use them both constantly and haven't had a bit of trouble. The table has hydraulics, raises and lowers easily and won't go crashing down in the event you loosen the knob and are not holding on to the table. The stool is comfortable, has a lever to adjust the hydraulics and works like a charm. For the price, you can't beat this set and unless you need more it's a great value for doing portraiture.

I bought this last year to use up a credit I had[...] Although the table rises, it will not stay put. I have no idea why the stool will not raise. Maybe you need to be an engineer to put this together and work it, I don't know. Most likely I am going to throw it out.
