Comments about Lastolite TriGrip Reflector, Sunlite/Soft Silver - 48" (1.2m):

This is the easiest and most effective reflector I've found for working by yourself with one subject. You can use it as a gobo if needed and otherwise both sides are useful in outdoor settings. I use it on every session.

Comments about Lastolite TriGrip Reflector, Sunlite/Soft Silver - 48" (1.2m):

I purchased this reflector after reading the reviews here and seeing a review in Digital Camera giving the best review among reflectors, so I decided to give it a shot. This was a breeze to pop right out and start shooting with on our first shoot of the year. It made a big difference in our outdoor shoot providing a good amount of light with a great color tone.

The only issue we had with this was right in line with many of the other reviews. It is nearly impossible to put it back in the case right the first time. It just takes just a few uses to get used to returning it the right way.

It was well worth the purchase and I would do it again in a heartbeat! I am also glad I went for the larger size instead of buying the smaller one and then having to turn right around and purchase this one.

I love the silver/white, gold/white mixtures to help tone down the color of the reflected light. And the triangular shape makes it easier to keep a flat reflecting surface compared to circular reflectors.

heavy, but you won't lift this often

Comments about Lastolite TriGrip Reflector, Sunlite/Soft Silver - 48" (1.2m):

48" trigrips are heavy and so you don't really want to grip it often, especially with just one hand. (Bear this in mind for the diffusion panel models.)

But for full-length portraits, I found this size perfect to tuck underneath my elbows and supported by its own bottom edge on the ground.

When closing in for half-length, you will have to lift it. This is when the trigrip really shines since you can't easily lift other reflectors as easily. And if the subjects can help, they can even help support it somewhere on their thighs.

I use it for portrait photography (inside outdoor). I like the sunlite side of the TriGrip. It gives a warm feeling.
I had to learn how to fold it (would be nice if a user guide was included). Once you understand it, it is very simple.
