Comments about Smith-Victor K45 3-Light 1800 Watt Portrait Kit with Umbrella and Soft Box:

I'm in Canada so had to order this from the US. I had no idea where to buy so emaild Smith-Victor and they got back to me within the hour with a list of places in Canada and the US. I decided on B&H for price and ease of shipping and customs clearance and the product arrived long before expected.

Lights were easy to set up with the exception of the soft boxes. Note that I have never set up a soft box before and 6 monhts ago I didn't know what one was.

Product is sturdy and well constructed. I knew the lights were hot but they are also VERY bright. The lights take up a bit of space as expected when set up but fold up nicely for storage (im in a condo).

Overall, very pleased so far withthe product.

Comments about Smith-Victor K45 3-Light 1800 Watt Portrait Kit with Umbrella and Soft Box:

I used the lights most recently for a creative portrait shoot in a house and they worked beautifully for this occasion. They cast a very warm light. The house did not explode when I plugged them in and turned them on. They didn't burn out their bulbs after being used for nearly six hours (with breaks.) My only complaints are that the manual didn't seem to be made for any light kit that was even vaguely related to the one I purchased, and they don't have a dimmer. Otherwise, a very positive experience.
