Great quality for use on strobes for diffusion purposes. Worked excellent for my photography assignment.

Comments about Rosco #3006 Filter - Tough Spun - 20x24":

I've used Rosco 3006 for decades (two and a half to be exact). It's never let me down, and between it and 3007, and 3022, I've never not had the right combination of softening diffusion at my disposal. I shoot architecture, and it's all about the light quality. They also are colr neutral, so color temp is never an issue.

These are indispensable. My lighting philosophy is light everything to make it look like it's not lit. I've never like lighting to dictate client's space. I want the space to dictate the lighting.

does not help much with soften the hard edge of the
                shadow.

I bought this to attenuate a fixed hair light strobe on too-low a ceiling. I found it took 2 or 3 folds to get a stop or two. By then, the material was thick enough that I believe some cotton cloth would have been just as effective.

There are probably more appropriate uses for this material than my immediate need.
