Comments about Impact DVP-TP20-72 72mm 2.0x High-grade Telephoto Conversion Lens:

DVP-TP20-72 72mm 2.0x High-grade Telephoto Conversion Lens by Impact is a good solution to situations where the target image is in the far distance and the camera is on a tripod or other support. It is not a substitute for for interchangeable lenses or a lens with a wider zoom range because the main telephoto must be pretty close to full telephoto zoom when using the extender, which is visible in the shot when the main lens is set a more wide angle view.

Comments about Impact DVP-TP20-72 72mm 2.0x High-grade Telephoto Conversion Lens:

Purchased to use with our Panasonic HMC-150. The item is well constructed, and easily fit on the front element of the Panasonic's factory lens. However, due to the small size of the Telephoto Converter's REAR element, vignetting was a huge problem. This makes the product only useable at the fully zoomed in setting.

Not good fit for Panasonic HPX170

    By Mike

Comments about Impact DVP-TP20-72 72mm 2.0x High-grade Telephoto Conversion Lens:

This lens was listed as an option for the Panasonic AG=HPX170. On this camera, it will work if you are zoomed all the way in. But vignetting will start to appear almost immediately as you begin to zoom out.

Comments about Impact DVP-TP20-72 72mm 2.0x High-grade Telephoto Conversion Lens:

I tried it on my canon XHA1 to extend the tele reach. It is just too soft at full zoom on my cam. Although it is inexpensive, the footage is not usable.

Comments about Impact DVP-TP20-72 72mm 2.0x High-grade Telephoto Conversion Lens:

The lens is sharp, but vignettes quite badly unless you are zoomed out all the way with the Panasonic HMC150 camera.

This product might work better with other cameras, but this lens ia a bad choice for the Panasonic HMC150 camera.

I am using this lens on my Canon XH-A1 camera in order to be able to shoot at a greater distance, when necessary. I find that the resulting footage is of high quality. This is a great addition to my equipment.

Comments about Impact DVP-TP20-72 72mm 2.0x High-grade Telephoto Conversion Lens:

This lens delivered what it promised, but it's only useful for full zoom applications - like shooting the space shuttle from a distance. For sports, it's not so great - to follow the action, you need to start wide and then zoom to the action. The wide shot reveals the sides of the lens and crops out the footage. I was trying to make up for the fact that I should've bought a camera with a 20X lens - but with the costs involved, this seemed like a reasonable risk - and it was. I'm sure I'll use this in the future. Note on a sunshade for this - there is almost nothing out there that fits this without spending a lot of money. Unless a new product comes out, don't expect to find compatible accessories.
