Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

Well made and looks great. It would have been much better if it was a tad bigger or maybe I should have gone with larger model.
I use it with D-800 and 24-70mm, 70-200mm f2.8 and fisheye and Mirco. Also RODE mic.
I also bougth the optional strap for Tri-pod, frankly not sure if I could even use the straps.

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

Yes, this bag costs a lot. However, it is very worth it. It fits my Canon 5D Mark II w/ 24-70 attached and an additional lens can be carried along with it. Compartments are nicely designed as well. Look wise, it is very attractive. I definitely recommend this bag over any others in market to anyone!

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):

Yes the bag cost a lot but think of all the money you spent for the items in it. You want everything to be secure and safe, and this bag does just that. Has plenty of space for everything you need with you for a shoot (even can squeeze a 11" macbook air). The only knock is that the tripod strap is sold separately.

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

I purchased this Billingham bag to carry/store my Nikon D800 (not yet shipped) along with the Holy Trinity of lenses; 14-24, 24-70, 70-200; 910 Flash; and assorted other odds and ends. Although I have not received the camera yet, the bag appears to be a bit tight for this array of gear. I will have to wait for the camera arrival to see if it is of adequate size or if I need to get a size larger.

The bag is well constructed of first class materials and is said to be water resistant. There ae numerous pockets front and back well as several padded lens inserts. The inserts would probably work best for prime lenses.

The bag has both carry handle and shoulder strap. The carry handle can be used with or without the rain flap in place. The rain flap is not detachable. Similarly, the shoulder strap is not detachable.

Pros: Quality materials and construction, style, appearance.
Cons: Non-detachable shoulder strap, minimal padded insert configurations, non-detachable rain flap.

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Black with Black Leather Trim):

I have, like most been looking for the ideal travel bag or some time. During this process I have found myself owning all sorts of back packs, shoulder bags and vests. Originally I discounted Billingham as being too over the top and too expensive for my needs but I was wrong. I found that all of my bags were either too big padded and clumsy or too skimpy for an extended trip. This bag is great. It provides an amazing amount of storage for its size and my Nikon D2xs with 17-55 and 80-400, flash and other accessories fit well with plenty of room to spare. My primary focus is travel and this is the carry-on bag that holds my camera gear and travel docs easily. I will never leave on a trip again without this bag and my trusty Domke vest.

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

This bag exceeded my expectations. It's extremely well made, it protects all of my equipment, and on top of all that, it looks better than any other camera bag I've ever had or have even seen before.

I was just on a trip where I managed to pack: a 5D camera with 24-70mm lens attached, 28mm lens, 50mm 1.8, 50mm 1.2, lens, 100mm lens (all lenses had lens hoods), a flash, charger for flash batteries, charger for 5D battery, my 13 inch Macbook, Macbook charger, memory cards and readers, and still had room to spare for some more accessories. Yes, the bag was heavy, but it's designed to distribute the weight well so it wasn't all that bad for just carrying through an airport. I can imagine carrying it all day might be a completely different story.

I love this bag so much that I am going to purchase a smaller Billingham for shooting and for trips I know I won't need all that equipment.

One thing you should know is that the shoulder pad IS included when you buy this bag! I bought one thinking it wasn't!

This bag is definitely worth the price, I will have it for life.

Great product for those that appreciate quality and detail. I looked at many many bags over an extended period of time and just could not make up my mind. Finially pulled the plug and bought the 335 in black with the tan leather trim. I could not be happier! Seems like a perfect size ..... Just came back from Point Loma in the San Diego area. Was a pleasure to carry. All items were secure and had more than enough room for kit and a new I-Pad!

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):

This is my fourth Billingham. I've yet to own one that I had to replace because of it wearing out; they were simply sold because of needs and requirements at the time. I currently own the 335 and a Hadley Pro.

These bags have never disappointed me. The quality is excellent. Some people have expressed difficulties in opening the bag quickly, but in fact it's designed to allow for immediate access. I think it simply takes time to get used to the "Billingham mindset" along with a small learning curve. But it is always going to be a compromise between protection and ease of access. The protection is important to me.

The other consideration is the styling and design of the bag. It's not a "modern" looking bag by any means. But if you lean towards a classic look, then this bag should satisfy you. I personally like this look and the bag actually looks better after some years of heavy use. It's the difference between a nylon messenger bag and a leather briefcase. Nylon looks shoddy after years of use but leather always looks good. Billinghams take on a graceful patina over time. Just be sure you like that sort of thing, otherwise the standard nylon camera bags can function just as well as a Billingham in the end. But they can wear out faster.

My choice has always been either Domke or Billingham. There's a large price difference but the Billinghams have survived the longest and protect the best. This particular Billingham is the right size for just the right amount of equipment without being a burden. A larger bag would be too heavy when full. I use the smaller Hadley Pro for one camera and lens for casual use.

Be certain to look at these bags in person and also determine the proper size for your needs before committing. The "right" camera bag is a very subjective thing.

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Black with Tan Leather Trim):

I was at a loss about camera bags, some are so big and bulky and I didn't want a backpack. But I needed to take my D300 and D3X with me on my travels + cards, cords, etc. This bag fits the bill, lots of pockets and I can configure the inside the way I want it. The bag is very well constructed and should look better as it ages with the leather and canvas. The handle is comfortable and the flap means everything is secure but accessible. It's just the right size for carry on. I love it.

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):

This is the perfect bag, with a lot of room and several compartments. The few extra inches it has on the 225 model makes a big difference (I tried both). The function is superb while not having to forgo style. And with so much padding (that isn't bulky and doesn't get in the way), I don't worry about the safety of my equipment.

I'm smaller framed and do find the bag to be quite heavy and too large when full. It can be awkward for me to carry.

This bag is amazing! I had searched for just the "perfect" bag for a long time and couldn't find one. This bag is big, roomy and perfect for all my "tricks of the trade", 2 Digital SLR's, lenses, all the random gadgets we photographers need. The construction is beautiful and solid, I can tell that it will last for many, many years!

I bought my bag in 1978 and even after 31 years it is still in a great condition. Besides a little fading from the sun and some scars on the leather, the bag is perfect. It has been is pretty much all conditions you can think of. From the hot and humit tropics to freezing cold, in downpours, you name it.

Comments about 335 Shoulder Bag (Khaki with Tan Leather Trim):

The bag allows the user any type of internal configuration that best suits the equipment carried within. I use a Nikon D2X body with a 17mm - 35mm lens and the combination can be rather large. The camera/lens can be positioned horizontally within the bag for maximum protection when rough handling is anticipated and positioned upright when easy access is required. The internal equipment dividers are padded square channels that maintain their form better than simple divers used in other camera bags. A rigid base with padded side is included and when placed within the bottom of the bag, equipment within the interior compartment is protected on all sides without impeading access to the bag. Considering the investment of a pro-camera body, lens, second lens, and flash unit, a high quality bag will ensure that your best equipment is in tact for the next assignement.
