I've had almost every Domke bag ever made and this is one of the best. Especially for travel photography I can carry a D-SLR body two lenses and a flash--in the neat zippered bottom pocket.

I have several larger Domkes but this one really feels right. I have to admit that I like the lightly padded sides that protect cameras without being very rigid.

And this bag doesn't scream "CAMERAS" which is particularly comforting when you are on crowded street in a foreign city. Between the main compartment's zipper and the large top flap, that covers the whole bag, you can be assured that no sneaky fingers are going to get at yuor stuff.

The bag is just the right size for my two rangefinder cameras plus two extra lens, light meter and a few rolls of film. My cameras stay on the upper compartment while the extra lenses and other acessories stay in the bottom which I like. The bag is well made and rugged but light enough for street shooting. Things I don't like about it; only two insert dividers. I had to steal inserts from my older bags to configure the bag the way I like it. Small front pockets, it can only hold my small light meter and maybe an iPhone, nothing else. Too much Velcro for the main enclosure, really noisy when opening it. I had to put some gaffer tape to minimize the Velcro.

Super bag!

Comments about F-5XC Large Shoulder Bag (Olive):

Room for Nikon D7000 with 18-300 lens and room to spare! Outside pockets might seem small but sufficient room for essential stuff. Very rugged material and generously sized strap. Just what you need for a quick shoot!

Comments about F-5XC Large Shoulder Bag (Olive):

I was looking for a smaller type bag to carry 2 or 3 lens around and made use of a zipper type closure. This looks to fit my requirements. Was not looking for bag for all my gear, only what i wanted to walk around with. Have to agree with others on how loud the the flap is when opening.

Comments about F-5XC Large Shoulder Bag (Sand):

I bought this bag to hold my 50's Graflex Crown Graphic. The main compartment fits the camera wonderfully with an extra half inch to spare all around. The two little pockets on the front just perfectly fit my compact 90mm lens mounted in its lens board, and my Series filter adapter.

The bag is well constructed and lives up to all advertisements.

I also use the Domke F-901 to hold 3 4x5 film holders.

Comments about F-5XC Large Shoulder Bag (Olive):

Got this one to carry a 5DMkII, two spare lenses, charger, spare batts, cards. It's better than I'd hoped. You can build a very sturdy "floor" with a velcroed divider, so that a lens, etc can rest at the bottom of the bag, with a camera and mounted lens stored on top. The bottom items are easily reachable via the small zippered door there. I'm currently carrying a 35mm f2 prime, a 16-35 f2.8 L-Zoom, and an old-style 100mm f2.8 macro, plus the accessories. Many other lenses would be accommodated, or a flash, but this is not the bag for the big lenses. It's good for going light and moving fast.

It looks good, but more like a courier bag than a camera bag, esp. in olive. I like that it is only 4 inches deep, which improves the disguise. I'm used to the F5x style, a smaller bag, and learned that the heavy canvas and modest padding provided in that model and this one is enough in all but the roughest use. Both models are extremely durable, well-made and good-looking, really a bargain for what you get.

I'll probably neuter a lot of the velcro that holds the main cover down--it's way over-done, and very noisy, as others have noted. I'd prefer that the big pocket had a zipper, and the little ones a flap-and-snap or something, to ensure that things don't fall out. As it is, I use those only for temporary purposes.

Comments about F-5XC Large Shoulder Bag (Sand):

First the build quality of this bag is awesome, tough zippers, strong material and good size. It looks like a everyday bag with stylish modern urban look. At the moment I only own OMD EM1 with the 12-40mm pro lens attached (by the way if you considering a new camera the EM1 is the best camera iv held or used) and it fits great with room left for further investments such as another zoom lens and 3 primes. Yep they will all fit if you buy MFT lenses.
Now to my girlfriend she thinks its looks and feels better then all her over priced bags and wants to steal it from me. Back to the bag its on the larger side for MFT system so if you looking for little extra room then this is for you.

Comments about F-5XC Large Shoulder Bag (Black):

I bought this bag mainly to be a "lens changer" type bag. I leave it open and leave a few lenses in and I can easily access them and swap out really quick. It feels very, very tough and everything seems really bulletproof on it... seams are burly, strap and d-rings are built really well.

It will fit a non-pro SLR with lens and a couple medium to small lenses and a flash if you tuck it in right. The canvas has saved my gear from rain, and it definitely repels water pretty well.

My only issues, and the reason it has four stars: the little pockets on the front could have zippers or something... I don't like that they are open and I won't put anything in there that I'd be bummed to lose (phone, memory, etc.).

Also, the velcro patch is enormous... i.e. really, really loud. It is secure though, so it depends on priorities. If I am using it for a ceremony, I just leave the flap tucked behind the bag.

Comments about F-5XC Large Shoulder Bag (Black):

I did a lot of research trying to find a bag that would not label me as a tourist or photographer in not-too-stable countries, and settled on this one. When I got this bag in the mail, I thought it looked smaller than it looked on the site. Under closer examination however I realized it fits quite a bit of gear!
It comes with two long flexible dividers that can be used to create many configurations. I was able to fit all at once:
-Pro DSLR body with a bulky zoom lens attached
-Film SLR with smaller zoom lens
-70-300 zoom lens - this one is long
                -Filter pouch
                -Spare batteries, some film canisters
And all of my equipment was well within easy reach - no need to take out everything to get to the bottom thanks to the bottom access.
The strap is easily removable, so you can replace it with one you may like more - however this strap is a very good one, so I kept it.
Most importantly, this bag looks very inconspicuous. And it's very light.
                Now, for some CONS:
-The bag is LOUD! I had to put elastics over the zipper heads(later replaced with gaffers tape) because I felt like I was walking around with a cowbell. Also, the velcro - while it holds well, is also very loud when you try to open it. Last thing I need is to turn heads just as I'm about to take out my gear on a questionable street in Russia. This is the only reason I didn't give this bag 5 stars.
-There's a separate pocket along the back for a tablet, but my 10" one doesn't fit. Well, it sticks out the top and negates the inconspicuousness of the bag. A 7" may be a better fit, but I have yet to test that.
Overall, if you don't need to be stealthy quiet, I would definitely recommend this bag.

Comments about F-5XC Large Shoulder Bag (Olive):

f5xc is a well design bag, deep enough to take a 70-200 F2.8g, with velcro compartment one can wear this as a beltpack. I can pack the 70-200, SD910, and one or two other shorter lens comfortably as a beltpack.

Domke certainly has taken thoughts as to how people may divide the bag, the bottom opening zipper is a great plus when you move the dividers to create a bottom compartment. The bag is deep enough to do that and still hold camera with moderate size zoom above it.

The canvas construction allow the unit to hug your body without creating abrasive feeling, and the size is just right not to attract undue attention.

Comments about F-5XC Large Shoulder Bag (Olive):

its nice and compact, and it doesnt stand out too much. it doesnt advertise to other people i have camera gear inside. since my camera has a battery grip, i can only fit it if the bag has the space ( i put the camera lens down) or if i just remove the lens. i bought this bag mainly to hold my lenses and other accessories when im out shooting, and it does a great job at that. it can easily hold my 580exii, 28 1.8, 15-85, and 100L. its also tall enough to fit a 70-200 f4. i like the bottom zipper section for easy access to whatever i put down there, it really comes in handy. the shape is preserved which is another aspect i like about it, so itll always retain that rectangular shape.
some of the things i dont like is that it doesnt have many extra pockets, just two on the front which i wish could close somehow, and a huge one in the back. id like to be able to store more of my smaller things. and the other day some batteries fell out of the front pocket while i was moving about. the velcro can get annoying at times, just because of how loud it is. it does a great job staying closed, but i wish there was a way to silence it. also arranging those dividers inside can be frustrating cause they keep getting stuck to the side before theyre in place. other than that its a pretty solid bag if you don't have too much to carry. its pretty comfortable, i had it on for a couple hours with the bag full of gear and it didnt really bother me suprisingly.

Comments about F-5XC Large Shoulder Bag (Black):

Perfect for some of my gear and extra room for my next lens. Mostly 50D with 18-55 is, 50/1.8, 35/2 and 85/1.8 and enough room for my next one, that would be the 200/2.8L.

One can use the dividers in several smart configurations. So the bag has good flexibility.

I find this bag more descreet than my F2. The F2 is more for transport.

Able to fit an iPad, Canon 60D with 24-70mm attached (including lens hood), filters, puffer, 50mm quite comfortably.Good quality canvas. Non-descript so it doesn't scream CAMERA BAG - which is good especially if you're carry $3000+ worth of camera gear.Rubber sewn into straps is clever design to keep from slipping. Small enough that I carry camera around everywhere with me now.Solid build and simplistic design. Loving this bag.
