Comments about Clik Elite CE202GR Lens Holster, Large (Gray):

This lens holder is quite large, which you would think should be a good thing. It is rather a bit bigger than the Canon lens pouch that came with my 70-200 f/2.8L lens, yet this is more difficult to use. I bought this holder specifically for this lens, as the options for attaching the Canon pouch to a pack is are very limited.

The padding on this holder is not even all around the inside, there is more padding on the sides and top of the holder, leaving a more roomy space in the bottom. This allows my 70-200 lens with the lens hood reversed to fit in very snugly, as the space in the bottom fits the lens hood very well. The problem comes when you try to remove the lens from the holder - the reversed lens hood has a very hard time getting passed the padding on the upper portion of the holder. I don't mean that it is just a little difficult to remove the lens from the holder - it is a full on two handed affair that makes me concerned I'm going to snap the lens hood off the front of the lens.

Easily removing a lens with reversed hood from this holder on-handed while changing lenses is totally impossible. You'll need to set the camera down to rip the lens out.

If you're not concerned with easy access, or don't use lenses with lens hoods, then this would be a great product. The options for attaching this holder to a pack are great though. The included shoulder strap is very nice, and the attachment straps work very well for a belt or any pack with some kind of strap-accessory system. Otherwise, if easy removal with a lens hood is important to you - for the Canon 70-200 f/2.8L at least - the included Canon pouch is a far better option.

Comments about Clik Elite CE202GR Lens Holster, Large (Gray):

The lens holster is great, it is very well padded protecting my lens. When hiking, I have my chest pack with my camera, and lens pouches attached to the waist belt of my Arcteryx RT25 pack. I recommend these pouches to anyone wanting to protect their gear.
