Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT114 Tripod:

My main consideration in getting the tripod was that it would fit in a 25 inch suitcase. It fits fine. My old tripod broke in Iceland so I needed to upgrade. I looked at several tripods but many that would fill the requirements were too pricey. I am looking forward getting several years of service out of this well made tripod

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT114 Tripod:

I needed a lighter tripod than my existing Bogen tripod. The Bogen tripod is strong and versatile but heavy. I often left it at home so wanted a light weight version . The Induro CT114 is half the weight of the old one and is very well made. I have found the legs of the Induro to be very easy and quick to extend, much better than my old tripod.

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT114 Tripod:

I wanted a small, portable carbon fiber tripod for video and this does the trick. I bought this with a one hundred dollar Vanguard video head and it supports the weight of my Sony FS100 and even some heavier photo lenses. It's sturdier and much lighter than my aluminum Manfrotto. It also seems more rugged than the much more expensive Gitzo tripods. It's a great tripod.

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT114 Tripod:

I needed a smaller, lighter tripod than my older Induro AT213 to take on a trip to the Tetons. Not as light as I expected especially with my ball head attached but much better than the AT213. I was concerned about the rig being more sensitive to wind movement but a small counter weight added to the hook took care of that issue. Price has always been a barrier to me purchasing a carbon fiber tripod. Induro's 25% rebate was a great incentive to make the investment. Not a lot of points for style, but the Induro products are well made and meet my needs perfectly.

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT114 Tripod:

Needed a light weight tripod and this fills the bill. I use this with a ballhead to shoot with a Nikon 200-400 mm lens and stabilize with a weighted bag hooked to the center column. I photograph wildlife and landscape and like the carrying case when hiking to a location. Easy to use, but it would be even better if it had lever locks on legs. Recently had the opportunity to use spiked feet shooting on a hard hillside. Great accessory. I also have a heavier carbon fiber more expensive tripod and I will see how my Induro holds up.

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT114 Tripod:

For me this was the best compromise of cost and quality. I did a ton of research, which usually means I still choose the wrong one. I wanted carbon fiber for the weight reduction and stability. I wanted something appropriate for my height. Of course if cost was not an issue, I would have bought the one all the cool kids have, a Gitzo but it was. I am 5'6." With the legs extended it is the perfect height for me without raising the center post. I am using it with a DSLR, a Sigma 50-500 and a Manfrotto 393 Gimbal "type" head. This is a fairly heavy set up and the Induro handles it great. Extremely happy with my purchase. If I had to pick one thing I could change it would be the twist lock legs. Nine times out of ten I loosen when I mean to tighten and tighten when i want to loosen, but that's me. I am sure I will get the hang of it. The carrying bag, strap and the accessory pouch with spikes and a tool are nice additions. Too bad my head doesn't fit, but the head is huge. I am sure there is enough room for a more standard head. The tripod seems to be very well constructed. I expect it to last.

I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT114 Tripod:

Induro was running a special on all their Carbon tripods. I was looking for something that was light, compact and sturdy. This tripod is all of those, and at a great price. I already had the Induro BHD2 ball head, so this was a perfect fit. This tripod is a good 2 lbs. less in weight that my old Manfrotto. And I have to say that 2 lbs. is very noticeable. I'd highly recommend this tripod to anybody that is looking for a good quality Carbon tripod. Additionally, it comes with extra spiked feet, tool kit, and carrying bag and strap. Quality through and through.

I bought this tripod because i am a small person and carrying a lot of gear around is a problem for me. And, I travel a lot and so the weight and size is even a greater issue. This tripod can carry 17 lbs. which is enough for me and it folds to 17" so it fits easily into a suitcase. I use a 300mm with a 2x on a Canon 5D MarkIII with a Wimberly head and this tripod can deal with that gear easily. The twist tabs on the legs are large and easy to turn. So far, I am pleased.

I bought this Induro tripod to get a very light weight, yet strong, tripod that is very easy to transport. I own a couple of Velbon tripods that are very good, but, one is too light and one is built like a tank and very heavy. The Induro CT114 is perfect for my Canon 7D and 5D Mark III, with battery grips, and lenses up to 70-200 2.8 IS. I don't use anything heavier than that. Great quality product that is perfect for me.

This is the tripod that I have been looking for! I have been scouring the internet looking for a lightweight tripod that is strong, sturdy, and most importantly...inexpensive! I found it with this. I have to order all my photography equipment online because there are no photography shops where I live. There is no way for me to touch, hold & operate items before buying, so it is always a gamble ordering online. You will not go wrong with this! I tried the smaller travel tripods and it was just too flimsy for me. Perfect for hiking and for travel.

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT114 Tripod:

I already had the super stable AT313 and needed a lighter, more compact tripod for travel and hikes. When Induro dropped the price of their carbon range by 25% I jumped in and chose the CT114 as a good balance between size, weight and support. At just over 19" collapsed, it will fit in my bag for overseas travel or be compact enough to carry around a city center. The four leg design is sturdy enough for my pro-sized bodies and lenses even though the overall weight is less than 3 pounds. The twist locks on the legs operate smoothly making set-up and collapse quick and easy. All the materials and finishes are excellent. A good tripod is a great investment and it should last you for years. This one is and will.

                                Landscape Photographer,
The CT114 is very easy to use and set up, it's ability to almost extend the legs out at @ 180 degree angle makes it very useful for low lying shots.
I have been using an aluminum tripod for years and the first time I used the CT114 ,I said to myself why did I wait so long!

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT114 Tripod:

I had been using a Velbon SG-3 aluminum tripod for 20+ years. My Velbon had flip-lock leg locks that needed rebuilding several times throughout its lifespan (I cut can lids to match the OE parts). I am certain that this style of leg-lock has improved dramatically over the lifespan of my Velbon, but I wanted to give twist locks a try. I also wanted a lighter tripod with independently adjustable legs, and a manually adjustable center column (my Velbon has a crank). Like all tripod buyers, I scrutinized the products from all the major players and discovered important features that I had not even considered; height (my Velbon was too short), spiked feet (my Velbon had this feature but some tripods did not), a weight hook (my Velbon had this feature but some tripods did not), and a reversible center column (macro is my passion). So, for weeks I read reviews and specs and ended up with 3 finalists. I chose the Induro Carbon 8X CT114 because it had everything that I wanted and it was providing a generous REBAIT. The tripod arrived and exceeded my expectations. It is very solid, stable, and quick to open and fold down to fit into a carry-on bag. The twist locks (my opinion) are better flip-locks, fast, easy and tight. There is a built-in bubble level, and padded grips on all 3 legs. The carrying bag is a nice bonus item; it is nylon and seems very durable. There is also a 5-Year Warranty with an additional 5-Year extension for registering your tripod online, 10 years total. I would definitely recommend this tripod to a friend.

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT114 Tripod:

Relatively short, surprisingly sturdy and better than expected quality at this price point. It replaces a Gitzo which twist locks all got loose. Really annoying considering the price and reputation. The Induro looks well made, certainly not lower in quality, but costs a fraction. Highly recommended.

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT114 Tripod:

First, I bought this product on sale, I was comparing it closely against an Oben product with very similar specs. I have an Oben monopod and have been satisfied with it, ultimately chose this tripod based on price (at the time). That said, I'm extremely happy with it, nice and lightweight but also sturdy for my general use. I also went back and forth on whether I wanted flip-locks or twist-locks (like this model)... now that I've used the twist locks I'll never go back. Carrying case is a nice bonus but I usually skip the extra weight and just carry this in my hand. Good product!
