Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT214 Tripod:

Yes, this tripod is that good. I'm not surprised to see that most people have given it 5 stars. I fell in love as soon as I pulled it out of the box. The fit and finish leaves nothing to be desired. The legs extend smoothly, the twist locks as well as the centre column lock are a pleasure to use, and the hook disk at the base of the centre column is designed in such a way that the legs are offered a lot of protection when closing them. And best of all, the warranty period is extended to 10 years after registration.

If I were to make one complaint it would be the lack of rubber ring under the plate at the top of the centre column to dampen any "fall."

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT214 Tripod:

Lightweight; legs are sturdy even when expanded to full height. The latches for each leg section work great and are fast and easy to operate. Nice padding on the legs; tool kit with included metal spikes is a nice touch as is the tripod case. Even without the rebate of $ this purchase was an excellent value.

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT214 Tripod:

I use this tripod with my 100-400 telephoto with a 2X extender. My other tripods just would not remain stable The Induro is rock solid even when extended Added a ball head to it and the results could not have been better

          Perfect tripod for my 4x5

          By Clayton

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT214 Tripod:

I bought this tripod to use with my Linhof technikardan 45, and couldn't be happier. I'm traveling around a lot at the moment so I wanted something that was both light and able to hold a 4x5. When I was researching for this tripod I was struggling to find a review that said if it would hold a 4x5 camera that is a similar weight to the Technikardan. So if anyone is having the same worry, I found it to be perfect. I never fully extend the legs, and shoot at about shoulder height. With my shoulder bag on the bottom hook it is very stable. simplistic all the locks and levers are for adjustments, they are so easy to use.

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT214 Tripod:

This tripod is built very well, has a compact form factor and is extremely stable. I ordered both the CT314 and CT214 as I was undecided in which would better fit my needs. After much consideration, the bulkier size of the 314 meant it had to go back to B&H. I just didn't need the additional size for my set-up. The only downside to the 214 v. 314, other than the increased stability for people with long lenses, is the extended height. I'm 6'1" and with the ballhead attached, I have to lean over. Although this will always be the downside to a compact tripod. But this 214 is an excellent compromise.

Perfect size for travel. Will fit in my smaller suitcase when traveling.
                    No negatives so far.

Like the build quality, supports my Canon 7D with a 70 to 200 lens. Easy to deploy. Fits very well on my Think tank backpack. Reasonable height for my six foot. I don't need to bend down to see through the view finder.

I needed a a sturdy tripod for my metal Toyo view camera, but it had to be stable, lightweight and compact. This tripod meets those requirements and the built in level is a necessity for proper orientation when using large format.

Purchased and used this tripod for Iceland trip (heavy weather and winds). Worked great but was light enough for travel via air. Fit into luggage no issue. No problems with the operation of the tripod and kept camera setup (DSLR + WA lens) stable during wind and on uneven terrain. Will be purchasing the additional short center column next as this was limited without it.

I bought this tripod to support my fiance's 700D with a 100-400mm lens and it is exactly what I wanted. We mostly shoot wildlife and the tripod is light enough to carry with us. The height is perfect for her since she is 5'4", and it is very sturdy and obviously well-built! I am very pleased so far with this purchase.

Very happy with this tripod. I did a lot of research on lightweight yet reliable tripods and read several articles that said Induros were equivalent to Gitzos in quality yet were far less expensive. I love how light and sturdy this tripod is. Even with the Induro ball head attached, it is still incredibly light and have no concerns with the stability of my camera when attached - bonus too is that the tripod fits in the included carrying bag with the ball head attached. Set up is a little slow with twisting each of the leg sections to fully extend but they lock securely and to a good height. Highly recommend to anyone. (Recommend the accompanying BHB2 ball head too!)

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT214 Tripod:

It is steady and well built.
No strong wind or wave can shake the tripod.
The rotatable knobs are excellent and easily accessible in any season
The price is really worth and quality is comparable to Gitzo tripods

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT214 Tripod:

I find this tripod to be excellent for general purpose photography. I love the quick release leg locks that make it easy to control the leg extentions. The tripod is light for its size and very strong. I find it excellent for studio and field work where it's relatively large size is not an issue. It's drawback is that it's size does not make it a good travel tripod. It's very stable and the neck controls are easy to manipulate. This will be my standard tripod for a long time.

Was looking to buy a more expensive tripod and this solid-feeling lightweight gem seems to be perfect. Will know more when I have had a chance to test it extensively in the field.

Comments about Induro Carbon 8X CT214 Tripod:

I purchased this Induro tripod back during the 1st. week of Sept.2013 to be used with a Gitzo #GH1720QR Birding head, and a Minox MD-62-ED straight spotting scope. This combo has worked out very well for my 5ft.11" height with only minor adjustments to set the scope at my eye level. Balance point is very near the tripods apex point so as not to make it tippy. Great construction, and accessories come with the tripod in a nice little tool kit. And I really like the easy to grip Hex nut shaped leg lock fittings. I have found Induro CT tripods to be sturdy, strong and rigid enough to stand up to 15-20mph winds while out Birding. This is my 4th. Induro carbon fiber tripod purchased. They are an excellent alternative to the expensive top end Gitzo carbon fiber tripods! I feel these Induro carbon fiber tripods are the best dollar value on the market to date for carbon fiber tripods. Other then all my Gitzo carbon fiber tripods; Induro CT's are the only one's I use an recommend to other Birder's & wildlife photographers! And when B&H has specials on them; the price is by far the absolute BEST deals on the market for a quality tripod.
