I got this to compare with the large kata bag,,not quite big enough to hold Nikon D810 with lens attached Plus 80-400 lens in bag also.

Comments about Kata LighTri-314 PL Torso Pack:

I bought this bag based on past experiences with Kata bags, I needed something for just my camera (Canon 60Dwith a 17-55mm lens and hood) and my flash (Canon speedlite 430EX II) when I opened the box I had very high expectations about this bag, just to be dissappointed as soon as I took it out; the bag: it's too big (this is the smaller of the 2 offered in this line) in every way, when I wore it on my front it's just huge to the point that it's impossible for it not to get on the way of walking in a crowded area, it is just not possible, the strap that goes around the shoulder is nicely padded but the material on the underside is as coarse as you can imagine, someone else's review alredy mention that fact and I'm here to corroborate it, I mean if you are not careful with it and rub it against your neck, thrust me, it's gonna hurt; those drawbacks made it easy for me to just send it back and look at different options.

I could not fit my D7000 with battery grip and lens in bag with other stuff. The bag was not confortable for me to carry. I switched to a 3N1-20 that works better for my needs

Comments about Kata LighTri-314 PL Torso Pack:

I previously had a Tamrac Velocity 7x Sling bag and hoped this would replace it. This bag is much bigger and has massive capacity. I never loaded full, but it swallowed my Pentax K2000 and 2 lenses. It's nicely padded and I loved the bright yellow interior and rain fly. Besides the configurable main compartment it has a large zippered pocket on the front (the one going vertically down is a small area for a the removable brace). On the inside the side of the panel for the camera has a velcro secured pouch.

            What I didn't like:

The strap is very abrasive on my neck. Slinging it from front to back is like rubbing sandpaper on my skin.

I was never really comfortable wearing the bag. No matter the position it was just awkward to me.

I ended up returning the bag.
