Comments about Xuma Composite AV Cable with USB 30-Pin Charge & Sync for iPhone/iPod/iPad - 6':

So I was so weary about buying cheap cables with Apple's cutting off of 3rd party cables (no it wasn't just charger cables). I bought both, 3 prong RCA along with the 5 prong RCA composite. To my surprise they are both "Made for iOS" certified and both work. I was worried because I did not see that posted in the description. But it is definitely imprinted on the box. Works both on my Ipod touch and Ipad no problems what-so-ever. Well worth the money.Thicker leads wires on the RCA connectors than the original Apple cable. Very happy about that.

Can output video, however mirroring did not work without jailbreak and other software.

The first unit I received was DOA B&H replaced without a problem and did not even make me ship the old one back... Kudos!!!

        I have a iPhone4s
        Works with Video App
        Charges and Syncs the 4s
When using it for charging, the audio is redirected to the RCA audio, so if it's not connected to a audio amp (tv, radio, etc) you won't hear if someone is calling.

        Cheaper than Apple's version...

Comments about Xuma Composite AV Cable with USB 30-Pin Charge & Sync for iPhone/iPod/iPad - 6':

Cables are usually a simple matter. Leave it to Apple to change that. They add a proprietary chip that is required to work properly so that a $[$]cable can be turned into a $[ more expensive cable. I was not about to spend that kind of money. With the recent price drop on these, thanks to the new Lightning system, they were finally within reason. By the way, there is no documentation and the compatibility chart is incorrect. I first purchased the component version of these to find they did not work as promised. Perhaps the reason why these composite cables actually cost more than the component version. These, however, do work and at quite a savings over the Apple branded version. It's nice that these include the USB plug so you can charge your player while it's connected to your TV or Hi-Fi. Silly me, though. I expected to be able to view the Ipod menu and CD artwork on my TV. Nope. You can only view photos and videos.

I had previously purchased an iPod A/V cable set for cheap on @, but the USB plug died and it was a constant hassle just getting the iPod to recognize that it had been hooked up. I would screw around with it for ten minutes just getting it to work properly. With this product, everything works from the first try, the USB sync / charger cable works without a problem. This is a solid piece of equipment that works with no hassles at all, and it is well worth putting your money into. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Good replacement for my original Apple product that wore out after 3 years of use. Works well with my 2nd Generation iPod Touch. The cable to the power source is shorter than that of the original Apple product, but that was okay in my set-up. That was the only reason for not giving it 5 stars. We'll see whether this replacement product is as durable :)
