I did a lot of searching before I buy this one.

Compared to some other expensive competitors, B+W is reasonably affordable.

Build quality is amazing. I comes with a plastic case which is NOT as good as the filter istself.

I mainly intended using it for ladscapes and waterscapes. BUT I've read there were some reddish color cast on the photos. I'll talk about this.

Yes the color cast is sometimes disturbingly visible but at some other time it may completely disappear(same place-same settings). This is an inconsistent effect to be honest. After trying it over 40 different places I've concluded :

-ND 3.0 is too dark that you want to focus first then put the filter on. Also dark filter may cause WB problems.

-ND 3.0 is also too dark that you never want to use aperture or shuttter priority modes. They always calculate half the light of enough exposure. So use manual only and shoot again if it's too dark.

-Reddish color cast mainly emerges when your WB settings are automatic. So shoot RAW if you want to be able to fix your images later.

-In bright daylight situations it can give you around 15 seconds of exposure. Which is bad enough for trees etc. to move due to wind and appear bluury on your final image. This is bad for landscapes and you may go for a brighter ND filter.

-In low light situations it causes desaturation sometimes. The image may seem washed out.

-Perfect for waterscapes and rivers. The water may even look like fog.

-It's really hard to clean, I guess it's bacause of it's coating. Even with a microfiber cloth it takes more than 5 minutes to clean it. So use it carefully.

-In a few photos it caused huge reddish cast only in the center of the image(mostly visible on darker areas). I caouldn't find out why.

Would I buy this product again? Yes, definitely!
Bu double it with a ND 1.2 if you're mostly a landscaper.

I purchased this 9 stop ND filter so that I could try some long exposure daylight shots to get that silky water effect and also to experiment with other subjects such as meadows and tree canopies.

It seems to be well made and it is considerably more affordable than some of the other 9-10 stop ND filters. However, it does have a distinct reddish colour cast. This isn't a serious problem for my purposes but some might feel otherwise.

The effect appears to be consistently even throughout the surface.

        Amazing product

Comments about B+W 77mm SC 110 Solid Neutral Density 3.0 Filter (10 Stop):

When looking for a ND filter to compliment my landscape and seascape photos I did thorough research on every review site on the Internet on which filter was the best. Since filters aren't relatively cheap I had to spend time to make sure I was getting the best for what I was paying. Using it now for a couple weeks I do not regret getting this filter at all, it has solid built and it gets more than the job done. My photos come out sharp and the moving clouds and water very silky soft. While I did not get the MCR version since that one was almost double the price of what I paid for this, I do not regret getting this version. One drawback that I did find with this filter is that it does have somewhat of a red tint. However it's something that can be fixed in post processing. I would recommend.

Comments about B+W 77mm SC 110 Solid Neutral Density 3.0 Filter (10 Stop):

I purchased this ND filter so I could take long creative long exposures during the daytime. I do this only occasionally, so I did not want to pay top dollar for a top-of-the-line ND filter.

This filter is perfect--excellent performance and good value. Any color shift from this filter is easily adjusted for by my camera's auto white balance. The brass ring is excellent for preventing binding. And the filter came with a nice padded plastic case to protect the filter in my backpack.

I have a Canon 7D MII camera. Although the viewfinder image too dark to use, I can use liveview for autofocusing and framing.

                This is a great filter!

It has enough density to slow down the exposure time and gives you the slow-moving effect. The exposure time could be adjusted by changing ISO and F. My experience indicates it has 11 stops. No vignetting was seen.

This filter is the best quality I have found. It's heavy, durable, and solid as a rock. I think this actually gives you about 11 stops reduction in light. It does not come with a cheat-sheet card to aid in calculating the exposure, as the Lee Big Stopper does. There is no vignetting with this single filter installed on my Canon 24-105. A really big plus is that there is no noticable blue color cast! Great filter.

I wanted to try out long exposure photography and I spent a lot of time looking for the best neutral density filter for a reasonable price. For me, the B+W ND 110 was a good choice. The build quality is excellent and the image quality is good, too. This filter gives the image a slightly warm hue, but this is to be expected. What's not so great about this filter is that it vignettes quite a bit on wide angle lenses. Anything from 28mm down is going to see vignetting.
