Comments about Swann 16 Channel DVR with Smartphone Viewing:

My order was shipped on time, as promised and arrived in excellent condition. The product replaced a more expensive unit, which had considerably less functionality. It was up and running in 15 mins, including streaming video to my iphone.

Comments about Swann 16 Channel DVR with Smartphone Viewing:

I bought this DVR to replace an older one that had worn out. Hooking it up to our existing camera network was really quite easy. There were few programming issues which was a relief. The only issues I had were:1) The hard drive was not plugged in, so I had to take the DVR cover off and connect it. Knowing this in advance would've saved me some time and effort. My advice would be to remove the cover and check this BEFORE you hook all your cameras up!2) If you have to rely on the on-screen menu via a TV monitor, it is a bit of a pain. The menu is kind of small and it does not stay up very long if you are not actively using it. I'm sure this is probably not an issue if you are using it with a computer. Alas, my system is not quite that modern.Calling Swann for tech support was a bit of a mixed bag. While I was able to speak with a live person, he seemed to have a hard time understanding my issue (hard drive not being seen)and a little confused as to which model of machine I had. But in the end, he was able to help me figure out the hard drive was just not connected. So far, the DVR has performed well and has had no issues. Dealing with B&H was a pleasure, as always.
