I was a bit concerned since there were no other reviews on B&H on this bag and doubly concerned after reading so many negative reviews on other bags of similar price. Have no fear -- this is an awesome, well-made bag! First, it is huge -- not necessarily a good thing, though, because I was able to put so much of my lighting equipment in this bag that now I need a cart to carry it on location! (but it is still better than multiple bags, though)[note: guys may not have a problem, but I'm a female and not very strong :-)] What sold me on this bag was that the desription said it was padded -- that was a requirement; especially after reading other reviews that their bags were essentially limp duffle-bags. The padding is incredible! It keeps the bag in shape, but it is still flexible enough for 'expansion'. Another concern that I had was that it might be poorly constructed -- NOT! The zipper is heavy-duty as are the straps -- which has extra padding for lifting (you'll need it). My only concern about the quality and question whether it will hold up is the material in the inside that is designed to allow the velcro dividers to stick to it. I would recommend if you are going to use the dividers (I decided to instead use them as additional padding on the bottom and sides--but not that it needed it, but my gear just did not lend itself for dividers -- although at the time that I read it, it seemed like a great feature) is to make your decision where you want the dividers early on and keep them there. The velcro is so tough I would be concerned that in time it will tear the inner material that it sticks to, which seems a bit thin. The outer shell, on the other hand, is heavy duty and appears to be excellent quality and I have no doubt it will last many years -- unless you abuse your bags, then maybe it won't last that long. Overall, this is an awesome bag --and it looks sharp (better than the photo, in my opinion) and I would not hesitate to recommend it! I'm glad I took the chance. :-)

I was expecting more. The bag isn't terrible I guess, for the price. The wall construction is a bit flimsier than I'd hoped for a bag this size. The walls are prone to collapsing, especially the lid (if you store stuff in the zipper pockets on the inside of the lid). I didn't like the divider arrangement at all. It comes with 2 shorter height dividers, 2 taller height dividers, and one big panel divider. You can only make 3 smaller compartments, so for the bag size, you can't really organize smaller stuff.

The big panel divider effectively creates a false floor, or second entire tier. The problem is the the entire divider has velcro all the way around it, so if you store say your lights in the bottom of the bag, and then have the panel/floor divider on top, and then your light stands on top of everything... you have to remove your light stands, and then unseal the mile of velcro to remove the panel/floor divider to get to the lower level. Really inconvenient.

On top of that, the velcro lining on the bag walls is not attached or sewn to the outer bag walls. So dividers pull the flimsy fabric in with it and aren't really attached to the bag wall. Hard to explain.

Bottom line, I basically removed all of the dividers and use the bag wide open on the inside for stands. In that regard, it's a decent padded duffle bag.

    Comments about Impact Light Kit Bag (34 x 13.5 x 12"):

I got this bag for my Genaray Spectroled Essential 360 Bi-Color Led 2-Light Kit With Stands And Accessories. I wanted to be able to fit lights, accessories, and stands all in one bag and this one does the job! It's a bit awkward to carry around but I'm a 5'2" female so this bag seems extra large to me, but I'm able to fit everything I need in here

This will hold my new Genaray kit very nicely and will give me a relatively light package for a lighting kit for headshots that will work on battery and AC. Seems well built.

Very pleased with my purchase! This bag has more than enough room for my equipment. It's a bit heavy with all my things in it, but it gets the job done and is exactly what I was hoping for. I would definitely recommend this to others. I can fit 2 of my lights in one section one in the other (room for another light too) and have an empty section for other pieces like cords. The top is sturdy and holds my light stands and umbrellas which I have 3 of. Can fit more.

Sure, it holds a good amount of stuff, from stands to cables, support, etc. I wouldn't trust it to hold anything fragile, like lights or bulbs.

It has almost zero support and is soft and floppy, with weak walls and almost no inner structure. You could watch it collapse like a wet sponge under pressure with nothing inside.

In other words - if you need something strong or durable, look elsewhere. If you just want a rectangular bag to throw a lot of light gear you don't care about into, it'll be great.

I bought this to hold several lights and their tripods. This came with enough room plus more. With the pockets at the top I can store some of my smaller things and there is also room for extra extension cords and power strips as well as a couple small sand bags.

I use this bag to store and transport a couple of AlienBees strobe units, plus some accessories. The bag is big and has plenty of room. I like the top compartment where you can store stands. The biggest problem of this bag it's kind of flimsy...I would have expected a little thicker padding and a more solid frame for the price. Otherwise it is not bad at all.

I use this product for photography session setups and when streaming video games. It gives a great source of light and great with use of a light box.

I was surprised that this bag could hold so much! I have 2 Profoto D1s and 2 other moonlights, three stands, and two reflectors easily packed into this bag.

I use to carry two monolights and stands. Solid construction i'm confident will last and protect my stuff. It's sizeable- not small by any means. Because it's big the bag handles act just fine as a shoulder strap. I like this bag- its more like a case than a bag with several compartments and adjustability.
