My testing:
5GB Blackmagic file R/W test (limited by my Clevo laptop's card reader) 76MB/s read, 72MB/s write.

In my 60D:
Previous Sandisk card has 45MB/s read, 41MB/s write. This allowed a burst of 8x continuous shots @ 5.3 shots per second, then 1 shot per second thereafter capturing RAW+JPG each shot, ie 33MB per shot. (will also allow 50x shots continuous JPG only).

But, this new 90MB/s Write card has transformed my 18Mpix CANON 60D camera. Allows 8x RAW+JPG shot initial burst, then a just perceivable pause (eg 0.25sec), then another 6x RAW+JPG shot burst before slowing down. Effectively 14x RAW+JPG shot continuous bust now = 460MB captured to the camera's buffer just in 3.5 seconds ! This is a huge improvement. And the camera is ready for another shorter burst after another second pause. I had found the 8x shot burst limiting for kids sports.

18Mpix RAW only – now is 15x shot continuous burst (no pause) before slowing down.

VIDEO: The change here is the recovery time when banging of still shots during video. The cycle time is much shorter and little of the video is lost now (was typically 1sec of video lost – intrusive for sports).

From 8x shot burst (also CANON's specs) to 15x shot burst.

I'm bought two of these for my D7200 Nikon. Doing bracketed panos, I find that the card seems to write very fast for maybe the first 1/3rd capacity, then suddenly it slows down through maybe the middle storage and then goes back to really fast until it's full.

I'm doing 9 shot brackets. The only thing that keeps me out of trouble is the camera's buffer storage and the fact that my last shots in a bracket take maybe 2, 4 or 8 seconds, which allows the card to keep up.

Both cards act the same. Just be aware that you may hit a slow down during your shooting.

I think I'll try a different brand to see if I get better performance across the whole storage media.

Comments about SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro UHS-I SDXC U3 Memory Card (Class 10):

Solid SD card. Fast read and write in my Nikon D300 camera during both photo and video taking. Card is thicker than my SanDisk 16GB card. When first used, difficult to take it out from camera slot - it didn't pop up when pressed down - until after several times. Otherwise, should be 5 stars (if nothing goes wrong later.)

This memory card is used in my Sony AX53 4K CC. I have done a few video's and the card has no problem writing the incoming data. I own several SanDisk cards and I have never had a card go bad.

Unusable after 2 weeks. Died half way through a shoot.

Comments about SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro UHS-I SDXC U3 Memory Card (Class 10):

Had this card for less than a month, was using in on my Sony A6300. Card became unreadible by the camera half way through a shoot. I lost my footage. Was not able to format card nor was a able to mount it on my computer. Running disk utility and other software also got me nowhere. Search online a lot of people are having issues with this card.

Shame I usually love SanDisk cards and generally they are very reliable. But given the failure after such a short time using it I had to write this review.

Comments about SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro UHS-I SDXC U3 Memory Card (Class 10):

At this point, I only use SanDisk. Every so often I'll try another major brand and while they also have fast write times, I've run into little things (such as lock switches that migrate) that make a big difference. SanDisk has been the most reliable card overall, and easily the the most consistent in recent years. I'll often shoot dual format and the card has performed well.

Great cards, terrible customer service!

By Dan

from Michigan

Comments about SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro UHS-I SDXC U3 Memory Card (Class 10):

I have always had great luck with the SanDisk Extreme Pro brand and Nikon DSLRs (and anything else using SD cards) and used to be very loyal to the brand. Until I needed a card replaced under warranty.

I began to get lines of rainbow color on occasional photos and eventually figured out that it only happened with a specific card. Same for card errors in the camera. Relieved that it was not my D750 causing the problems, I went to the SanDisk web site for a return RMA.

This process seems to be designed to prevent successful completion. The initial form requires uploading pictures of the card (both sides) and receipt. But it times out very quickly and you have to start over. After sending the form, I got an e-mail requesting much of the same information (address, receipt, etc.). A few days later I got another e-mail saying that my RMA has been approved and I have 10 days to send the card back and must include the RMA number. But the RMA # was NOT IN THE MESSAGE. Instead, the message told me to watch for a follow-up e-mail that will provide the number. I haven't received a follow-up e-mail and my 10-day period is just about up. I suspected that SanDisk might simply mail a new card to me (and perhaps not require a return), but I haven't received one.

So I took advantage of discounts on other brands and will no longer be loyal to SanDisk Extreme Pro.

I am shooting always in RAW with my nikons, I use with GH-4, 4K video also very nice..had a doubt about missing frames , but nothing so far. Fantastic with D750 RAW shooting and Video mode 1080P 60fps.. no chocking or stuck . Only bad thing was free recovery keys are not working.

Does what it claims

By Photo Teacher

from Barrie Ontario

Comments about SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro UHS-I SDXC U3 Memory Card (Class 10):

My new Panasonic camera had refused to record 4k on a Sandisk card I already had, a card that was rated one category slower (45mb/s). This new 90 mb/s card is accepted by my camera for shooting 4k. This faster card also records photo-bursts and RAW pictures faster, so I am ready to shoot a picture again in less than a second.
So yes, the speed of an SD card does matter if you're doing 4k or RAW or burst or sports photography.

I am using this on my Sony A7RII for photos as well as video, The camera requires a 64gb to use 4k video on this camera. So far it has worked flawlessly.
