I have had a tripod for mnany years and it finally bit the dust. This one is much lighter, and adjusts easier. The price was reasonable. I love the rapid relase.

I was looking for something that could handle my nikon D5100 with a few attachments.I was surprised of how sturdy this is. I used it along the Pearstone DWL-2 dolly to do some tracking shots. I'm actually thinking of getting a second for my aux. camera.

Comments about Magnus DX-4330M Deluxe Photo Tripod/Monopod With 3-Way Head:

I purchased this tripod for taking movies of my son's sports events that he and his team can study. I needed something that was steady and stable on fields and stadium steps, easy to adjust quickly, and lightweight. I considered a tripod that cost twice as much and decided to take a chance on this one. It's excellent and I love using it. All the parts move smoothly, and I can set it up quickly and then easily adjust the position of the camera to follow the action on the field or court. The camera never wobbles and the finished movie is steady and easy to watch. This tripod is also very lightweight, so I can carry it easily.

Comments about Magnus DX-4330M Deluxe Photo Tripod/Monopod With 3-Way Head:

Purchased this for the dual purpose of using as monopod for arena events as well as the full range use of the total tripod system. Is taller than most which is important for me. The locks and other components work just fine. This is a tool to be used with the same amount of care as the camera that sits on top, so it absolutely meets that need for me and my Lumix DMC-FZ70.

Comments about Magnus DX-4330M Deluxe Photo Tripod/Monopod With 3-Way Head:

I purchased this tripod because of the presence of the monopod. The 3-way head is made of hard, sturdy plastic and adequately supports my Canon T5i with 85mm lens. However, I questioned the unit's ability to withstand the backcountry of the Adirondack Mts, where it would be used nearly daily, in all types of weather.

Most disturbing was the twist locks on the monopod. Two of the four refused to budge, requiring use of wrenches.. The twist locks were practically fused on and a wrench - with a towel underneath to prevent the lock's surface from being marred - still did not budge it. The leg flip locks on the odd shaped anodized aluminum legs worked well. The unit is 24" (61 cm) closed.

The base plate bubble leveler was on the top and side of the plate, making it nearly impossible to see it beneath the camera. The tripod bubble level had a tiny bubble, about a sixteenth of an inch in diameter. The unit was good for filming the cats running up and down the driveway, yet I would not take it into the woods.

Overall, a good tripod for light use with small DSLR, consumer camcorder or point-and-shoot camera. The unit is complete with its own zippered cordura case.
