BIG LENS. Nice and sharp though. A bit slow with focus due to the adapter which actually has a mirror in it!

Comments about Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di USD Lens for Sony Cameras:

Very sharp and excellent build quality, hood fits a little tight and hard getting on and off but that's the only negative I found.Used it a few time now doing senior pics and have loved it. Just as good as Sony's I believe and Tamron has a much better warranty and frankly Sony's product support sucks, I'm in a battle with them currently about another lens.

Comments about Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di USD Lens for Sony Cameras:

Walk-around, portrait, and indoor lens with fast f/2.8 capability. Replaced (returned) the Sony Zeiss 28-70 f/2.8 for this lens because (a) it cost $ more, and (b) it was 'sloppy' when attached to my Sony SLT A99 at the lens/body interface...it moved at the extreme focal length ranges...very discomforting. After 100s of picts comparing picts from the Sony to this lens...Tamron has nailed it! I will ALWAYS shop Tamron equivalents before settling for another Sony Z or G lens, period. You will LOVE this lens.Only con

Comments about Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di USD Lens for Sony Cameras:

I use this lens to shoot wedding videos on my a99. This thing is silky smooth, very quiet auto focus when I use auto focus (which isn't that much) but it sure is nice to have.
