Comments about Bower 24mm f/1.4 Wide-Angle Lens for Sony A Mount Cameras:

I bought this lens as a starter wide-angle astrophotography lens, and it's definitely lived up to the reputation. It's fairly sharp, even wide open, and gathers tons of light on full frame sensors. The only real issues are coma in the corners and chromatic aberration, both of which are fairly noticeable wide open. You can compensate for the latter, but the coma is something you have to try to work around. Other than that, I see no reason to not add this lens to your arsenal, especially as an alternative to the high-priced Canon/Nikon/Sony versions.
