Comments about Nikon D7000 DSLR Camera with NIKKOR 18-200mm DX VR II Lens and Accessory Bundle:

I have had Nikon SLR's for close to 40 years and they are really built to last as well as taking the best possible pictures for the conditions. The metering on the D7000 is supurb. In the past, most of the pictures in the reject pile were for poor exposure. I have yet to have a picure come out poorly due to exposure.

The 18mm to 200mm lens does not create any visible defects that I can see. This is my first zoom lens. In the past I have always had single focal lenghtlens with multiple bodies.

My wife has a D90 and leaves the camera in Auto Mode. She will not pick up the manual. The D7000 is intimidating at first. Even with the gagunda manual it hard to get started. Then I found the DVD that came with it. WOW Great Idea. I am now very familiar and off to a great start using it.

Comments about Nikon D7000 DSLR Camera with NIKKOR 18-200mm DX VR II Lens and Accessory Bundle:

This is my first foray into DSLR. I had been a Minolta SLR user for many years and love the responsiveness and flexibility of SLRs and manual cameras. I have been using a Kodak Easyshare for many years because it's relatively small, easy to use, and is digital. But I lost many good shots because these kinds of cameras take f-o-r-e-v-e-r for the shutter to operate. I craved the speed of the SLR and the flexibility of the manual settings. And I didn't want to use film.

The D7000 is a phenomenal camera and definitely tics all the boxes for me. Whilst I'm getting used to the DSLR options, I can use the auto features and get some fantastic shots. As I'm learning more about the camera's features, I am having fun switching to more control over shutter speed and aperture. Plus, I can take many pictures in a few seconds and not lose a shot. I can pick the best of the batch, and shooting RAW gives me lots of data to work with. I think it will be some time before I have good mastery over this camera, but I am very glad I spent the money on it.

This kit was a great deal. It's got an incredibly flexible lens, and the VR (Vibration Reduction) aspect makes for some very clear shots, even with my slightly shaky hands. The large memory card is good to keep you going for quite some time. I was saving RAW and fine JPEG and the card was good for over 500 pictures. The camera bag is a good starter bag, and I'll probably use it for general picture taking, though I just purchased a Lowe camera pack for longer photo sessions. The other accessories in the kit are nice to have were all nice to have from the start without worrying about whether I forgot something important if I purchased things separately. I also got a spare battery and a wireless remote, both of which came in very handy recently for a family reunion.

Comments about Nikon D7000 DSLR Camera with NIKKOR 18-200mm DX VR II Lens and Accessory Bundle:

I bought the D7000 as an upgrade from my entry level Pentax K-x DSLR. It was a bit overwhelming out of the box with all the features and my newness to Nikon, but a week of familiarity and browsing the user manual and I get a sense of how much this camera can do. Photos are amazing and it's surprisingly easy to use. A much better low-light performer than what I've had in the past. Focusing is fast and accurate. I bought it with the 18-200mm lens and that was a great choice. I thought I would use it mostly for travel but find I am shooting so much more. Solid, sturdy construction and feels very substantial in your hands. I am continually amazed at how much this camera is capable of and I didn't have to break the bank. It comes with a DVD and book to get you started and the user manual (something I normally don't use) is very helpful. I am so thrilled with this camera and the results I've been getting. Hoping to add the 12-24mm wide angle and a 50mm prime to my quiver in the near future. This is a very versatile camera - love it!

The D7000 is a 'prosumer' product and when combined tith the DX VR II lens offers more camera flexibility than most photo bugs will ever need. Easy to use, super fast & lightweight, this camera and lens can not be beat.

I recommend this combo to any new or intermediate Nikon user looking to expand their capability.

Comments about Nikon D7000 DSLR Camera with NIKKOR 18-200mm DX VR II Lens and Accessory Bundle:

I brought this bundle when B&H was having a sale. D7000 has a lot of good features for photography enthusiasts like me and the lens can be just the only lens I need to carry when I travel. I was quite happy about it until I found out that the camera had a little "back focus" problem. Since the camera is still under Nikon's one-year warranty, I sent it to the service center for repair. The only cost to me is the shipping. I haven't gotten the camera back yet because it is being repaired. I hope they will be able to fix it.

Moving up from a Nikon Coolpix 5700, I find the D7000 easier to use because of better design of the menus and button placement. Setting changes are quicker and easier. The superb picture quality is immediately apparent, especially with regard to colors and contrast. Only had it for 2 weeks, so I am still learning about the camera and lens.

Comments about Nikon D7000 DSLR Camera with NIKKOR 18-200mm DX VR II Lens and Accessory Bundle:

This is my first DSLR, purchased after disappointment with several point and shoot digital cameras. Did lots of research on virtually all DSLR's and chose the D7000 , Nikon 18-200 lens bundle based on what I thought best fit my desires balanced with price. Extremely happy and very impressed with the camera's capabilities. Best of all I can take 4-6 pictures a second, assuring I get grandchildren at the right moment! The D7000 of course will do much more, with a wide range of setting options. However it's "auto" mode seems to cover 90 % of my situations. Results are terrific. For a near novice like me, the included manual, video and help booklets have been extremely helpful. Continue to be astounded at the technology you get for the money.

Comments about Nikon D7000 DSLR Camera with NIKKOR 18-200mm DX VR II Lens and Accessory Bundle:

Was going to get these separately or even refurbished/used to save some dough, but the kit price knocked off enough that it made more sense buying both new! The 18-200mm provides great range, sharp, fast focus and no problems at all. The d7000...there's nothing to say, it's a rock star. Was worried about some slight focus issues folks had mentioned (which were corrected by Nikon) but I didn't experience that at all. Tons of features on the camera...definitely glad I researched it and bought this one. Used the "Bill me Later" deal and will pay 0% interest and no payments until July. The bag is pretty nice and will hold everything you need, though I bought the Lowepro Slingshot 102 AW instead. What you'll want to buy with this is a lenspen, microfiber cloth, Giotto Rocket Air, and a lens cap leash. Add another 16Gb card as well to take advantage of the dual slots.I also bought the Tiffen 72mm clear lens filter to protect this $+ lens from scratches. After all, it's easier to replace a $ filter than the lens. And the lens cap still fits on the lens with the filter on.My favorite features are the U1 and U2 custom settings and the 6 FPS. Lastly, B&H's shipping is FAST!! I got the normal, cheap shipping and it was here in 3 days. In fact everything I've orderd has only ever taken 3 days, even when UPS's estimated delivery date says 6 or 7. (I live in Fairfax, VA) Very happy!

The D7000 is a wonderful camera to work with. It is a sturdy camera, but is smooth when shooting, quiet (which comes in handy photographing wildlife), take a clear shot, and has all the options one would want.
Having made the switch from using Canon for years there are small things that take getting used to, but nothing that takes the fun out of shooting with this camera. I have't used the video yet so I can't offer much from that perspective, but no doubt Nikon is a superior product.

I have been away from photography for 10 years after a full time career in war photography, Technology has taken photography to a different level, and i found it all in this model, i am not ready for a full frame camera yet, so the D7000 is just what i need. I will be shooting portraits and field photography and i need a fast and capable camera with all the functions in hand, not digital, i can use all my lenses from the 35mm days which is great and the two SD card slots will help me shoot both hi-res and low-res at the same time, in one click the shutter ecords the same image in both formats each on a seperate card.this is a very usefull feature if post pictures on line and want to keep them for print later on. I can't say there's anything not good about the D7000 i am loving it for the time being.

Having professional experience with portrait studio photography I am very impressed with the features and performance of the Nikon D 7000. The camera has shot countless scenes & action shots with great ease. I am very happy with this camera and if I had to do this again I would not change a thing for my current application.

This camera is a machine! This camera was intended for me to advance my photography skills and pictured. My teenagers have learned more in 3 weeks than I have in 2 years. 7000 does more for an experienced user,or for a brand new DSLR amateur. Photography can be another family experience. Appreciate every minute, and create memories.
