Comments about Casio LK-240 61-Note Keyboard with Lighted, Piano-Style Keys:

I purchased to use it as an alternate of piano. I used to take lessons when I was a child, and I wasted to start it again.
This is a good keyboard to use for a beginner, I believe. It has all the features that are very useful to learn how to play piano.
One thing is that the keyboards are very light, far from real pianos. I used to own a different keyboard, and it had much better keyboards. This is why I chose 4 stars.
You can use MIDI files to play it with this, but the lighted keyboard will not work with additional MIDI files, but you can use electric files of music scores to use lighted keyboard features to practice to play that song.

Comments about Casio LK-240 61-Note Keyboard with Lighted, Piano-Style Keys:

I am beginner, a zero as you would call it. I download lessons online and practice them at a slow pace on this beautiful device. The lighted keyboard and the lessons that come with it - including the step-up tutorial system are amazing. I love it in general, but I hate that there is no cable to connect it to my computer for use with Garageband. And the audio port is not the regular one that you see on a computer, but big end (kind you see on studio equipment) - makes it difficult to connect it to a speaker.
