Comments about Elinchrom Quadra Li-Ion Battery and Charger:

I travel with two Ranger Quadra kits, and they are not light (pun intended). Using these batteries cuts the weight considerably, and I've had great experience with battery life. I wish these came as standard equipment. I have no use for the giant, heavy batteries that came with my kits. The size of the charger is something to plan for, though, but it's worth it.

Comments about Elinchrom Quadra Li-Ion Battery and Charger:

I bought this for travelling now that airlines are very stingy about baggage weight allowance. I will be flying to Asia this November. Hopefully i don't run into any issues flying out of Los Angeles with airport security. I plan to have this in my hand-carry.
I give it only 3 Stars because the AC Adapter that comes with it is Big and is not made of the same quality as my original AC Adapter for the Lead-Acid battery unit. I also gave it 3 Stars because of the price.

The reason for my purchase was for portability, but this AC adapter is much bigger than the AC adapter for the Lead Acid one. The plastic of the AC Adapter also seems of cheap material.
The Lithium-Ion battery unit itself looks the same as the Lead Acid one. Just lighter and smaller as claimed.
