I use this for music while working out, or working on stuff around the house.

Pros:
Very small and unobtrusive, its so light you forget its there.

The touch screen is easy to navigate and responsive.

Cons:
The iTunes software is not intuitive and cumbersome to use. I had to watch YouTube in order to figure out how to create a playlist!
This should be a simple drag and drop, but its not. Don't bother right clicking anything in iTunes, it probably won't do much, unlike other software.

Adding music to the iPod should be a simple drag and drop, but again...its not, and is needlessly time consuming.

The equalizer is very basic...just a few presets and no real sliders.

No FLAC or other lossless format support.

In summary, I like it but I thought it would be much more intuitive to use, especially as far as loading music and creating playlists.

Very compact and well constructed unit, but with lot of features that aren't too useful as far as I can see. Required download of latest version of iTunes was not to my liking since loading recorded books from CD requires using the music system and risks toggling the shuffle button that will wreak havoc with the chapter arrangement.

BUT my bigest gripe is the lightning connector, which is not backward compatible with existing iPod attachments and requires an additional $30.00-$40.00 plus investment to get the lightning to 30 pin connector. Moreover the 4 connector headphone jack means your old earphones might not work either. Apple could have included a 30 pin connector by using descent sized packaging instead the tiny plastic wonder designed in California.

Comments about 16GB iPod nano (Green, 7th Generation):

I mainly use my nano for audiobooks and gym music but this newest version offers so much more! You can now listen to radio and use it with your Nike apps. I love using the bluetooth to my portable speaker at the beach. The touch screen is the perfect size to read at a glance but is still small and super thin. I purchased a clear hard cover with a clip to enjoy the original color and attach it easily during excercise. I also wrap the earphone cord around the clip a couple times to protect the cord connection. Sorry...do not have cons to report!

Podcasting allows me to maximize my commute to and from the office. The iPod nano (7th Generation) makes podcasting a snap. There are several minor improvements over the previous model, such as the ability to pause using the external volume control. Expensive? Yes! But worth it since i use my iPod every day.

Small player and easy to use. The sound quality is also good. What I miss from this model is a buit in clip. So if you like to attach it to your cloth you need to buy a second party plastic case. What I really like about this 7th generation is the possibility to listen music with your bluetooth headset.

This is only my second iPod ever. I bought my first in oh, 2004? It's starting to finally die which is why I decided it was finally time to upgrade. I love this little toy. Compact, cute, holds a ton of music AND has a radio option which is the one thing I felt the original iPods needed. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.

This is my first iPod. My only experience with Apple so far has been my iPad and I love it. I love the iPod. I have a lot of music and very diverse (I'm over 50), so I enjoy the genre's as well as Genius mixes.
I probably don't have to sell anyone on the iPod, but had I known how great it was I would have bought it years ago instead of the MP3 player I did have.
Very user friendly, nice packaging and so easy to set up.
