Comments about E-PL5 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera Body (White):

I already use the E-PL3 for my underwater work and love it, it is so easy to use so I am expecting the E-PL5 to be just as well. I have only used the E-PL5 on land so far but really like.

Comments about E-PL5 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera Body (Black):

Wanted a micro four thirds body with the 16MP sensor but didn't want to pay way too much. Settled on this one as the E-PM2's lack of a mode dial made me a bit nervous (even though I pretty much use aperture priority mode exclusively) and the E-M5 was a bit too fancy and expensive for me. Was also curious about trying a camera with a tilting screen as I'd never used one before, and I'm very glad I did! Tilting screen makes a very big difference and I think I'm gonna have to look for one on any future camera body purchases I make.

Image quality is really fantastic and I'm also very happy with the size (it's a lot smaller than I expected upgrading from an E-P3, widthxheight dimensions are about the same as my iPhone 4, maybe slightly larger). It's very fast too.. Can pull it out of my backpack, power on and be ready to take a picture in a matter of a couple of seconds (taking the lens cap off actually takes the most time in this circumstance). Took it on a trip with me recently with the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 and I'm really happy with the pictures it took. I generally shoot raw between 200 and 1600 ISO and haven't had much trouble with noise at all. Color balance as shot is very very very good as well, sometimes after playing around with it I'll undo my changes and find the camera'd already done a much better job than me (I set it to "Muted" though I don't know if this setting really comes into play in processing when shooting raw).

Comes with a small flash, maybe about half the size of a golf ball, you can stick on the hot shoe which I never really use but is still nice/comforting to have and doesn't take up much space in my backpack anyway. Battery seems to last a heck of a long time for me. Very good camera and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone into micro four thirds who wants a tilting screen or the new sensor or to anyone who has a relative with micro four thirds lenses you can share.

Comments about E-PL5 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera Body (Silver):

I had previously owned an EP-3 and loved it, except for the sensor limitations in low light. I upgraded to an OM-D EM5. It's a great camera, and lots of folks love it. After using it for a year, I had to conclude that it wasn't for me.

Recently got an EPL5 and truly love it. The build quality reminds me of the EP-3. It has an updated (for now) sensor, and the IQ is top notch. There are some limitations (only one dial, the LCD size)which might be issues. Of course, there is the EVF. I have the VF-3, which is OK, but not great. All in all I think the EPL5 has most of what I like about Olympus and the Pen line.

The camera feels right when I hold it (I did get the larger grip accessory which is marketed for the EP-3, but which can also be used on the EPL5). The EPL5 has some new features (ability to shrink the focus box size) which I find very useful. It's fun to use and the results are stellar. I know Olympus is coming out soon with an EP-5. Interested to see what they are offering. Rumours include that it will have the same sensor as the EM5 and EPL5. They are also rumored to be coming out with an updated EVF, which I hope will also fit the EPL5.

      Highly recommend the EPL5.

EPL5 is the same image quality as the EM5, but the cost is only half of EM5. It's a perfect combination with my new lens 17/1.8.

Great results the first time out. Very Sharp.
Only problem - My fingers are to big for the controls.
