Comments about ikan X-CAGE DSLR Shooting Rig:

Great idea, love that you can customize it the way you want, BUT the top handles i had a bit of a problem with. they use allen head screws, but the bad part is when it's tightened, one firm twist and the screw gets loosened. I had to custom screw a back plate to both handle pieces so they would not move. Plus there are two different sized allen head screws used, a small and a large. This does come with wrenches to use, however two screws that hold in the handle rig on top are slightly smaller than the screws on top that tightens down the handles. Other than that the top and bottom plates are very customizable to where the camera goes and attachments. and the vertical side handles of the cage are great to work with. Gives me wonderful security to handle my camera like i normally wouldn't handle. Just wish this thing came with more screws and parts to use.

Comments about ikan X-CAGE DSLR Shooting Rig:

I'm a Video professional making the transition to shooting on DSLR. I have the Canon 70D, and bought this rig for it. It came partly assembled, and the rest was easy to figure out. It's sturdy, and has many options for attachments. I haven't mounted any mics or other attachments yet, but look forward to that. I've shot a grappling tournament with it, and it was easy, comfortable and fun to use

Comments about ikan X-CAGE DSLR Shooting Rig:

I really like this compact Ikan rig. The size is nice and compact for run and gun shooting styles and great for low shots. The only regative I would say is that it does not fit a full frame regular size dslr without some modification. I use it with a Nikon D600 and straight out of the box is too small. I added some nylon spacers to raise the height of the rig and now it fits the D600 snug without the battery grip.
