All of the camera bodies that I have purchased from B&H have included a spare Watson battery.

I am a pretty firm believer in buying origional brand batteries.... I own 5 for my D2x. Some of these origional brand batteries are 10 years old and they are still performing like new.

That being said, I am please with the Watson brand battery so far. It slips into the charger perhaps better than the origional brand battery & I have high hopes. The fit & finish is as good as the origional brand. I think it will work out fine... got my fingers crossed.

Longer life in my MB-D12. But only works if you insert battery with the camera on. Otherwise the battery indicator blinks and camera won't turn on.

Aftermarket battery

Comments about Watson EN-EL18 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (10.8V, 2600mAh):

Works just fine. I usually don't buy non Nikon accessories but they were out of Nikon batteries at the time so I ended up buying this battery. I have used it along side with my Nikkn battery and it performed just like the Nikon. No issues at all.

Comments about Watson EN-EL18 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (10.8V, 2600mAh):

The first Watson battery was not recognized by Nikon D4 or power grip of D810. It was promptly replaced by B&H, however the replacement failed initial charging. Now I expect a refund and look for another brand, most likely Nikon

This is a much needed backup battery for me. Its a higher capacity so thats a plus and the price is great. It may act a little wonky on the charger but I always double the charge on the camera before stepping out. All round great product.

      Doesn't Hold Charge

      Comments about Watson EN-EL18 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (10.8V, 2600mAh):

Received with my D4s package from B&H. Battery charged okay in the Nikon MD-26a charger but within 24 hours showed almost no charge left. After that it would not caiibrate in the charger and after an apparent recharge showed almost no charge. The included Nikon EN-EL18a battery charges okay. I think I'll stick with OEM batteries.

            Comments about Watson EN-EL18 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (10.8V, 2600mAh):

I'm giving this a 4 out of 5 simply because the EN-EL18a battery is a better alternative for the D4 and D4s. It has a better charge and lasts longer.

Other than the fact an upgraded/better version is available, this battery is an affordable and reliable (in my experience thus far) alternative to the standard EN-EL18 battery.

Four stars because my first battery wouldn't hold a charge and needed to be returned. B&H Customer Service had a new one to me right away and the this one had no problems. The cost of the official Nikon battery is way overpriced. This battery does the same thing for nearly 50% less money. Well worth it. Only problem is it cannot be calibrated in the Nikon charger.

I am using this battery in my Nikon D4s and use the original Nikon battery in the MB D12 power grip for the D810. When I tried to use the Watson battery in the power grip with the D810 the camera did not turn on. I didn't bother trying to figure out a work around.

This is a 5 star unit as it is fully compatible with the D4s. I've taken several hundred shots and it's still 75% of its capacity rating. Charging is no issue. 4 stars as I'm unsure about the recalibration ability. I'm yet to try this feature, but several reviews point that this may not be possible with this unit. I'll update the review once I've done a recalibration.

No issues at all - much better capacity than the Nikon battery and much cheaper. Nikon has to comply with more restrictive regulations about LiOn batteries in Japan, so it really isn't Nikon's fault - but why spend more for less.

This is the first off-brand battery I have ever tried and so far I am happy with it. In the first few tries out(3), it has worked flawlessly with the camera, has held a good charge and hasn't taken any longer to recharge than the Nikon batteries.

It does not, however, seem to work with the recalibration on the Nikon charger.

I will be curious to see how long it actually continues to work.
