Comments about JVC GZ-VX815 Full HD Everio Camcorder:

well...the plan was to shoot slow mo of my husband at the driving range in hopes of his developing a golf swing ...the slow mo was a no go...i suppose some might think it a plus that the poor slo mo picture quality made it hard to see how truly bad his golf swing was but that didn't fly here.

To be fair, this wasn't advertised as an action cam and in regular mode the camera was great [uh, the software for the computer was less than great]

Comments about JVC GZ-VX815 Full HD Everio Camcorder:

A great compact camera you can take with you anywhere, video quality is great but I wish it was 1080 x 1920p, still Photo's are very sharp,I chose this camera for it's size so I can take it on Bicycle rides to get Photo's and video's of wildlife on the trails and anything else along the way, low light has always been a problem with a still camera, slow shutter speeds are what you get in the woods, video camera's don't have this problem. The owner's manual is on the internet, make sure you understand the image stabilization button, it has 3 settings.

Comments about JVC GZ-VX815 Full HD Everio Camcorder:

Very small, lightweight, user friendly, great picture quality for photos and video.

They do mention it is a Full HD 1920 x 1080. But I was confused as the description didn't state Full HD 1920 x 1080p, so I hope it is that or better.

Wireless feature allows you to send 15 second of video but not a single picture. Why??? It's a camera also. Firmware update?

You have to continually change the recipient email address as it will send to all if more than one email. Won't let you choose to which email to send.

Detection email feature is useless to me as I don't see myself leaving the cam on as a detection device anyway. I'd rather have had the wireless capabilities be used for, say, quick uploads to socail media sites...maybe even a little internet access/email account access.

The software for the PC is OK for beginners when used with the camera. Although, I chose to use stand-alone software for this. A better photo editing and video editing application.

But, I bought this model for the quality F1.2 and 12MP's and 12.8 CMOS... and it sure seems to deliver on that. All in all very good quality camcorder/camera for the money.
