Comments about Westcott Grip Head for Scrim Jim Frame:

This is a heavy duty clamp. At first I didn't care for the clamp until I rearranged the spring to make it work easier. The clamp is made to hold square or round stock.

Comments about Westcott Grip Head for Scrim Jim Frame:

I do not understand why these accessories, which could be considered critical for enhanced performance of the very well done Scrim Jim, has such failure in design. The grips attach to the frame but hooked in such a way that it is difficult to remove them, and difficult to manipulate the scrim in different positions. This can damage the frame itself. I found out that any grip head from Avenger or Matthews does exactly the same job, but much better and simpler, and the grips from those brands are way much cheaper!! I feel this time I just lost money, by buying a poorly designed product. I will start the process of returning them.

Comments about Westcott Grip Head for Scrim Jim Frame:

These are great for keeping the Scrim Jim (and other things)in place. Be careful, you can tighten them too much. It won't hold the panel any better, just make it difficult to take off.

Comments about Westcott Grip Head for Scrim Jim Frame:

This is nice piece of work, easy to use and mounts really well on my stands. I use it for the large eight foot scrim. The only drawback if it even is a problem is that head is heavy. I don't think its a drawback.

If you have mafer clamps, that's more straightforward. With this, you also need Westcott's special clamp for the Scrim Jim frame.
