Comments about Cyber-shot DSC-TF1 Digital Camera (Red):

I bought this camera specifically to use when we went snorkeling in Cancun. It ended up being the camera I carries with me everywhere.

The underwater functionality is awesome. I watched others struggle with some of the other products I considered and was very happy to have this one. The controls and screen are very easy to see, even under water. I found myself trying all of the functions underwater just to see how it worked. I followed the instructions for cleaning the camera and had absolutely no issues in any way.

The picture quality in and out of the water is great. I had a ton of fun with the panoramic and movie modes. The automatic function seems to work wonderfully.

I highly recommend this camera for any use but try it snorkeling in Cancun. It's way special. I would recommend a floating wrist band of some kind. While the one that comes with the camera is sufficient, you will want to prevent the chance it comes out of your hand and sinks to the bottom.

Comments about Cyber-shot DSC-TF1 Digital Camera (Red):

I am a loyal Sony customer. I wanted a waterproof point and shoot camera for a trip where there would be a lot of salt water involved so I wouldn't risk damage to my good DSLRs. I figured that this one would be a good choice. It wasn't. It is a pain in the butt just to turn it on and shoot. I am not sure I got a good photo from it. All I wanted was an auto point and shoot. Figuring out how to use all of the options (other than something simple) had me getting the good camera out of the bag that I knew how to use and limited my use while on the water. I am not sure what Sony was trying to accomplish with this camera but I didn't get it. The biggest issues were the delay in the image capture when the shutter was pushed and the exposure modes. I was also disappointed in Sony including a battery that had nominal charge time. It was so bad that I bought a backup only to find that there was a difference in how each was labeled indicating a difference between the one supplied with the camera and the other one. Why? I lost a lot of faith in Sony after this experience
