Comments about Ilford GALERIE Prestige Gold Mono Photo Papers (8.5 x 11", 25 Sheets):

Loved the finish of the paper - glossy, but not overly so much that it was a distraction. Blacks were very rich and deep.

Comments about Ilford GALERIE Prestige Gold Mono Photo Papers (8.5 x 11", 25 Sheets):

After using this paper for several weeks I have found it to be one of the best inkjet monochrome papers yet. It retains wonderful tones and dmax with detail though out.
I am using this on my Canon Imageprograf printer and just love the results.
I don't mind the higher than usual glossy finish for an inkjet paper, but do wish it was a little more in line with the Hahnemuhle and Museo glossy finishes.
Another little minus for me is the 270 gsm weight of the paper. It is just a bit flimsy and would be nice to have it at about 290 gsm. Also I don't care for the back of the paper with the appearance of some type of coating. IMHO would be better with just the paper back side w/o any coating.
All in all its still a wonderful BW paper and I will keep using it for smaller prints up to 13x19"

Comments about Ilford GALERIE Prestige Gold Mono Photo Papers (8.5 x 11", 25 Sheets):

I do primarily monochrome digital printing and have experimented with many different papers. This product produces smooth tonal transitions, especially in the mid and darker tonal ranges. This characteristic, along with a good Dmax, has resulted in some of the better prints that I have been able to produce. However, the surface is somewhat more glossy than I would prefer, and with a weight of 270 gsm, it seems rather fragile. For these reasons, I would hesitate to use it for exhibition prints.

Best thing since Agfa Brovira 111! Excellent for b&w prints. Just like it came out of the darkroom. Now I need to try it for color printing.
