Comments about Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8345 1080p 3LCD Projector:

I have searched for months seeking the best projector for my budget. And this projector was the one I choose. I am glad I did. Setting up the projector was easy - plug and play. I have it sitting on top of my bookshelf, for now, and throwing an amazing picture to an 110' screen at 17'. It had vertical and horizontal lens shift which made picture placement on the screen easy.

The picture quality is good during the day. I had a 56" Toshiba DLP prior to getting the projector, and I notice the same "washed look" when watching the projector during a lot of light. But what makes this projector stand out from old Toshiba is that the projector's picture quality is BETTER with less ambient light. At night while watching a movie, it literally feels like my local theater at the comfort of my home!

The fan noise is not too loud. The specs state it's at 45db. I barely notice it when I watch tv. It is when there are no sounds I hear the humming of the fans.

This projector doesn't have speakers built in, which is okay with me. I am using my surround sound.

The case is hard plastic and not too terribly heavy.

The only feature I would want on this projector is changing the lens cap. When not in use, I prefer to put the lens cap back on. So the next time I use it, I have to refocus the picture. Not too terribly annoying.

Overall, Excellent picture! Playing Super Mario Bros with the kids was fun! And, Mortal Kombat with my brothers became more competitive. Watching movies with my wife was like having Date Night at home without the expensive popcorn, candy and more (cheaper date nights). I have already recommended this product to others, however, at the time of this post, it is back ordered.

Kudos to Epson for making an HD projector for the budget minded consumer!

Comments about Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8345 1080p 3LCD Projector:

For the money this projector is hard to beat. Great placement flexibility, no rainbow effect, adequate lumens. If you are sensitive to RBE and want a projector for under $, this is the one to get.

Comments about Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8345 1080p 3LCD Projector:

Our use is for TV, especially sports programs. We'll also watch a movie using the projector with a DVD connection. We have nothing but praise for this projector except for it's size and weight. That is not a problem now as we have it permanently mounted on the ceiling but it was was a struggle getting it there. It does not have any audio speakers.
