Recently purchased the radio popper transmitter and receiver. They are super easy to use, maybe a little too easy! The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars is that switching channels was time consuming to figure out because it doesn't come with any directions or papers. You actually have to tap and hold the tiny button to switch channels. Also there is no on / off switch and it only works manual flash (which I prefer) but no on off switch means you cannont stop the flash from firing. Over all, though, great easy to use product.

The Nano transmitter works on one of my dSLR cameras and not the other, both Canons. I have to depress the nano down on one camera to have it "fire" the receiver. Contacted RadioPopper and they QUICKLY replaced the Nano set and provided return postage. RadioPopper is trying to rectify the issue but beware you may have fittment issue on you camera.

    It's Simple

    By Grumpyoldretiredguy

    Comments about RadioPopper Nano Transmitter:

Yes it's simple and that's a good thing. Easy to figure out, easy to use. I mount mine on a Lumix point and shoot to trigger an off camera flash. That in turn triggers two other flashes on slave units. It makes simple amateur gear produce professional looking images. Thus the complex becomes easy.

      Comments about RadioPopper Nano Transmitter:

Basic and simple way to sync my 3-point headshot lighting set up using Nikon SB900 and SB600. Have only used it indoors and it works excellent in a 20x15 room. Way more reliable than using the camera flash to trigger the remote flashes. Lightweight plastic is pretty flimsy. Feel like it might break if it fell. Not much instructions as others have said. Spent most of the time setting up my camera to sync with the bank and channel. Super easy to set up on the transmitter and receivers.

        Comments about RadioPopper Nano Transmitter:

I owned few brands of wireless transmitters and receivers, most of them when used in indoor with studio light, they gave you very disappointed. Most of times MISFIRED, means never flash. So now I owned this brand RadioPopper, Very Good never MISS! The only things when I set my shutter speed to 1/250 secs, bottom part slightly dark. So you only can set to max @1/160 secs will be perfect.

I just unpacked it,removed the packing strip on the battery and installed it on my camera. Once I monkeyed with it a little bit I was able to get it to fire my Canon 430EX Hotshoe flash.

            Comments about RadioPopper Nano Transmitter:

I use the RadioPopper with Speedotron Blackline and so far they work great. Wish they had instructions with the product but you can find the setup on their website. One thing I'd do is take the battery out of the Trans and Rec when you're not using them. I think they have a auto turn-off system but I found that the battery in the Rec went dead. I guess it's always a good practice to remove batteries anyway. Other than that they work great.

This is the most reliable radio trigger I've used. I use it with my Nikon SB700 speed lights and have never had any issue with triggering the lights. Sync's up to 250th of a second. Used indoors and out on portrait and product photography without any issues. Great product and I will be buying a couple more receivers very soon.

I needed a basic trigger for my Nikon D600. The CLS system on my Nikon only works for close range and half the time my flash wouldn't fire. I heard about the Nano and how many of the professionals love it's easy to use functions. Now it stay's on my body waiting for the next shoot.
