A world standard in telescope oculars, Meade Series 4000 Eyepieces yield wide viewing fields consistent with pinpoint edge-of-field sharpness, long eye relief, low astigmatism, low spherical aberration, and low off-axis coloration.  With 7-layer multicoatings and edge-blackened optics, the sophisticated 4-element 20mm Super Plössl permits a level of optical performance generally impossible with eyepieces of fewer elements.  As a member of the older 4000 series, it represents an exceptional value in a longer focal length general use eyepiece.

The Series 4000 20mm eyepiece includes a soft rubber eyecup, custom fitted to the eyepiece with a bayonet mount.  The eyecup folds down for eyeglass wearers, shielding eyeglasses from coming into contact with the metal eyepiece housing.  A rubber grip is provided.

The Meade 20mm Super Plössl eyepiece is parfocal with the 6.4mm, 9.7mm, 12.4mm, 15mm, & 26mm Series 4000 Plössls; it can be exchanged with any with practically no refocusing necessary.
