The compact and lightweight LEICA SF24D allows TTL-flash exposure control when used with the LEICA R8 or R9 as well as the LEICA M6 and M7 TTL-models or the M8 digital cameras. In addition, it supports automatic flash exposure control with all other LEICA M and R cameras with central X hot-shoe contact. The SF 24D runs on two 123A batteries, and batteries are included.
- All neccessary information such as film speed, aperture and distance is available in the LCD which can be illuminated on demand. Thanks to the two longlife Lithium batteries CR 123 a very compact design, fast recharging times, and a high number of flashes could be realized.
- In the TTL- and A-modes the flash indicator in the viewfinders of the LEICA R8, R9 and the LEICA M6 or M7 TTL-models enables the photographer to check the correct flash exposure immediately.
- Leica photographers' creative ambitions are satisfied by the option to utilize the flash exposure compensation feature.
- In the TTL and A-modes corrections of +/- 3 EV and 0 to -3 EV respectively are possible.
