The Meade Universal AC Adapter (120V/60Hz Version) for ETX-90 10.0", 12.0" & 14.0" telescopes and newer. The adapter has two parts:  a transformer converting normal 110-120 volt household AC power to 12-volt DC power, and a 6' grounded AC cord which connects the transformer to normal AC household outlets.

An 8' cord permanently attached to the transformer ends in a 5.5mm male plug which fits into most telescope's 12-volt DC power receptacle. The Universal AC Adapter provides 5-amp, 12-volt DC output, which is substantial enough to operate the telescopes even when their built-in dew heater is at full throttle.
