The RB-1232 N+ Broadband Router from Sapido is an excellent way to connect your wireless devices within a wide area. Because the router is outfitted with two high-gain antennas that put out 5 dBi signals, it can distribute wireless access within an indoor area of up to 3500 square feet. For Internet access, the router has a WAN Ethernet port and a USB 2.0 port. With the WAN Ethernet port, you can establish a wired connection to a cable modem or ADSL modem. With the USB 2.0 port, you can connect to your WiMax modem*, your 3G or 4G USB broadband modem, a GSM modem, or, with the correct adapter cable, your Smartphone. In addition, the router can also spread a wireless signal when wirelessly connected to WiFi modems or to public WiFi hotspots. Since this router is designed to 802.11n wireless specifications, you can connect a vast array of wireless-N devices at a data transfer rate of up to 300 Mbps. It can also connect to wireless devices that are only compatible with 802.11b or 802.11g standards. Plus, with four built-in 10/100 Mbps Ethernet LAN ports, you can also establish four separate wired connections with other computers.
Since this router features a built-in VPN server, you can setup a network with it and remotely access that network via the Internet. Also, the router is built to 802.3az Ethernet standards and features a built-in Green AP technology. With these, the router can moderate its power consumption as it needs, which ends up wasting less energy.
