The Vitek VT-EH4 Digital Video Recorder (4-channel, 500 GB) offers real-time video recording in H.264 format and playback capabilities, with monitoring functions that can be controlled by a mouse. You can monitor your home or office remotely over a LAN, an internet-enabled PC or even on Windows based PDAs and iPhones.

With the pentaplex operation, the DVR allows you to simultaneously view, record, play back, network, and back up video footage. Simple menu and OSD (On-screen Display) presented in a logical GUI format make access to various control functions quick and easy. The DVR displays images in single or multi-screen mode, and features standard and user-definable sequence modes.

In addition to scheduled, alarm activated and motion activated recording modes, the VT-EH4 DVR offers a panic recording feature which overrides all recording settings for high-quality recording in emergency events. The DVR supports 4 audio inputs that can be assigned to any video channel and also allows you to remotely monitor live/recorded audio over the Internet. Additionally, the 4-channel DVR supports remote talkback audio transmission. You can use the calendar and timeline search method to quickly access and review recorded footage.

Various PTZ functions can be controlled either from the DVR's front panel, USB mouse, or an IR remote control. The VT-EH4 DVR allows you to archive recorded videos and all configuration settings to USB memory sticks, CD/DVDs or even to a PC remotely. Backup files have embedded playback software, and contain system event log and backup log for full traceability. The 4-channel DVR sends email notification for health and events such as hard drives failures, alarm, and motion detection.
