The Ikelite 6871.60 Underwater Housing for Canon EOS Rebel T3i (600D) provides access to all camera controls (save for a single one) through its heavy-duty clear polycarbonate case. Contoured to the camera, the corrosion-free housing features Ikelite's Quad-Ring seal glands that keep control ports watertight, and both the main and port O-rings are clearly visible so you can tell whether the seals are correct. With confidence you can take your T3i underwater to depths down to 200' to shoot high-resolution stills and video.
A large zoom control knob can be comfortably reached without removing your hand from the handle, as can the recording stop/start control for shooting video.
At the touch of a button, you can easily attach and release mounting arms using the release handles with comfortable rubber grips. Removing two 12/24 screws will free the handle and tray assembly for transport and storage. The 1/4"-20 threaded mount atop the housing enables the attachment of a focus light or other accessory.
The housing's size and weight provide slightly negative buoyancy in freshwater. An assortment of interchangeable lens ports allows use of most macro, wide-angle, and zoom lenses. Ikelite uses a simple and reliable 4-point locking system to attach lens ports to the housing. This fail-safe assembly consists of one sliding lock in each corner around the opening that accepts the port.

The housing fully supports Canon's E-TTL II metering system via the included TTL conversion circuitry. The TTL conversion circuitry in the housing works perfectly with all current model Ikelite DS Substrobes. Compared to fiber optic-based systems, hard-wired TTL control provides more accurate exposure, shorter recycle times, and increases the battery life of your camera and strobe. (Non-Ikelite strobes can be used, but they cannot provide eTTL exposure or be adjusted manually through the housing.)
Exposure can be adjusted directly through the back of the housing by using two pushbuttons. A series of LED lights clearly indicates settings - even at night. The TTL mode provides four half-f/stop increments over or under the flash compensation to allow you to fine-tune exposure. Eight manual power settings in half-stop increments allow for complete creative control.
- Enhanced Viewing
- The Super-Eye magnifier provides enhanced visibility of the camera's viewfinder for times when you're wearing a diving mask. The back of the housing offers a clear view of the camera's large LCD screen. For framing your photos using the camera's LCD screen, the live preview feature of the camera is accessible.
