The Dual Handle Tray Package TBD14100/4800 Risers (Black) from Beneath the Surface is an underwater photography tray system. It fits and enhances an underwater camera housing, giving you increased options for lighting, strobes and other accessories while you shoot with your camera. This package includes a #TBD14100 tray base, 1 pair GH100 handles, 1 pair #AA100 arm adapters, 1 pair #R4800 risers and 1 #BB10550 bridge bar. The grip handles are black.
The tray serves as the base for the system. It has a long slot where the camera housing bolts through, so that the housing can be moved from the left to the right to make it more comfortable to operate the camera. All trays have a pre drilled hole for a specially-made Beneath the Surface camera lanyard to attach to a buoyancy control device / BCD to prevent camera loss. The size of the tray corresponds to a particular size of camera housing. This tray fits a housing with a maximum width of 9 1/2" (24.1 cm).
The grip handles are made from a solid piece of aluminum bar for strength and durability and each has a comfortable rubber grip. The handles have treads at the top for mounting an arm system.
The arm adapters sit on top of the grip handles and connect to the risers. They are the platform for the strobe arms and can accept 3 different types of arms: Ball ended arms by using part #BMA, flex arms by using part #FA14, which bolt directly to the arm adapter by a 1/4-20 SS screw, or 'T' slot type arms.
The risers connect the arm adapters to the bridge bar. Each has a pre drilled hole for connecting a beach diving strap for ease of entry through the surf. The size of the risers corresponds to a particular size of housing. These risers will fit a housing with a maximum height of 8.0" (20.3 cm).
The bridge bar connects the risers together to form a carry handle at the top of the camera tray assembly. It also has a series of 1/4-20 holes across it, giving you multiple places to mount strobe arms, focus lighting and video lighting via accessories like the ball mount adapter #BMA and the cold shoe mount #CSM.
