The Qnap VS-8124 Pro+ VioStor NVR is a 24-channel network video recorder for IP cameras. It supports high quality real-time video and audio monitoring, up to 10-megapixel recording, and playback of multiple IP cameras.
It features 8 hot-swappable and lockable trays, each for a separately-sold 3TB RAID drive. In total, the 8124 supports up to 24TB of physical storage and is capable of H.264, MxPEG, MPEG-4, and M-JPEG recording from up to 24 IP cameras. A Linux-based standalone NVR, the 8124 sets up in 6 easy steps by Internet Explorer without extra software or even a PC required but rather via an HDMI or VGA connection to a local display.

Two operating systems are built on the DOM for system booting alternatively upon every system startup. When one fails, the other one for system startup takes over and the failed OS is recoverable from the other healthy OS
